🌱 Can height increase after 16 years?
Most teens stop growing once their growth plates close, which happens around 16–18 years. After that, height cannot naturally increase.
However…
➡️ Some teens appear “short” because of treatable medical issues, such as:
• Growth hormone deficiency
• Hypothyroidism
• Vitamin D deficiency
• Chronic illnesses
• Genetic conditions
👉 Height gain can be achieved properly only if diagnosed early.
❗The biggest challenge:
Many children come for treatment too late, when growth plates have already fused.
If you’re concerned about your child’s height, don’t wait.
Early endocrine evaluation can make all the difference. ✨
