๐ซ Do you think only smokers get lung cancer?
This is one of the biggest misconceptions I hear.
While smoking remains the leading risk factor for lung cancer, it's not the only one. Passive smoking, air pollution, workplace exposure to harmful chemicals, family history, and certain lung diseases can also increase your risk.
Another important pointโobesity doesn't directly cause lung cancer, but it is associated with chronic inflammation and increases the risk of several cancers, including breast cancer, colon cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, and endometrial cancer.
That's why cancer prevention is about much more than avoiding ci******es.
โ๏ธ Maintain a healthy weight
โ๏ธ Stay physically active
โ๏ธ Eat a balanced diet
โ๏ธ Avoid to***co exposure
โ๏ธ Don't ignore persistent symptoms like a chronic cough, coughing up blood, chest pain, or unexplained weight loss.
This World Lung Cancer Day, let's focus on awareness, early detection, and preventionโbecause the best chance to fight cancer is before it starts.
