A good ACL surgery is not just about the operation. It’s about what happens after it. 🦵🚴♂️
After an ACL injury and reconstruction, assessing how the knee responds during movement and rehabilitation is an important part of the recovery process.
Cycling can be used as one of the controlled activities during rehabilitation to assess knee movement, strength, control and overall tolerance to activity.
Because when it comes to ACL recovery, one check is never enough.
Repeated assessments help us understand how the knee is progressing at different stages of recovery.
✔️ Knee stability
✔️ Range of motion
✔️ Muscle control
✔️ Strength
✔️ Response to activity
✔️ Progress during rehabilitation
The goal isn’t simply to complete the surgery.
The goal is to help the patient progress safely through rehabilitation and return to activity with confidence.
A good surgery is followed by good rehabilitation, regular assessment and careful progression.
