A proud milestone for breast cancer care in India.
For the first time ever, the prestigious Oxford Oncoplastic Surgery (OOPS) Course — a programme that has shaped oncoplastic surgeons at Oxford, UK for 14 years under the stewardship of PG Roy — found a new home in India, hosted by Apollo Athenaa Women's Cancer Centres.
At the heart of this achievement stands Dr. Geeta Kadayaprath, Principal Lead, Apollo Athenaa, whose vision, determination, and years of groundwork made OOPS India a reality. She envisioned it, built it, and led it — personally curating the faculty, designing the flow of the course, and guiding every participant through two intensive days of learning.
Yet beyond the science and the simulators, it was the atmosphere that left the deepest mark — open dialogue, genuine mentorship, and a shared passion for better patient outcomes.
