Most of us have experienced it at some point that uncomfortable feeling of not being able to catch your breath, a tightness in the chest, a heaviness that comes out of nowhere and leaves you unsettled.

Dr. Viveka Kumar, Chairman of Cardiology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, explains that shortness of breath can be one of the earliest and most overlooked signs of an underlying heart condition. When the heart is not pumping efficiently, fluid can build up in the lungs, making it harder to breathe.

Your heart works every single second of every single day without rest. The least we can do is listen when it tries to speak.

Blood Pressure is just quietly build up, day after day, silently damaging your heart, your brain, your kidneys, and your blood vessels, one of the most dangerous and widespread health conditions in the world today, usually has no symptoms at all.

A heart attack. A stroke. Kidney failure. All of it, often tracing back to years of uncontrolled blood pressure that nobody caught in time because there was nothing to feel.

This is why World Hypertension Day matters. This is why Dr. Viveka Kumar, Chairman of Cardiology continues to spread awareness about a condition that affects crores of Indians but remains dangerously under-managed.

Check your blood pressure today. Not because you feel something is wrong but because high BP feels like nothing right until it takes everything.

Your daily cup of coffee may feel harmless, but it can temporarily affect your blood pressure.

Caffeine can cause a short-term spike in some people, especially when taken in excess, consumed late in the day, or when someone already has blood pressure or heart-related concerns. The effect may vary from person to person, depending on dose, timing, and overall heart health.

You don’t always need to completely avoid it, but it is important to understand your body’s response. If you feel palpitations, restlessness, chest discomfort, or frequent BP fluctuations after caffeine, don’t ignore them.

Moderation matters. Heart awareness matters more.

For persistent blood pressure or heart-related concerns, consult a cardiologist.

Shortness of breath isn’t something to ignore… it could be your heart asking for attention. ❤️

On World Pulmonary Hypertension Day (May 5th), let’s raise awareness about a condition that often goes unnoticed but can seriously impact heart and lung health.

Pulmonary Hypertension increases pressure in the lungs, making it harder for the heart to pump blood efficiently. Early signs like breathlessness, chest discomfort, and unusual fatigue should never be overlooked.

🔍 Know the signs. Act early. Stay protected.
Because timely diagnosis can significantly improve quality of life.

The key is not to delay symptoms. Chest discomfort, breathlessness, unusual fatigue, or changes in heart rhythm should always be evaluated on time.

Early diagnosis and the right treatment approach can make a meaningful difference in protecting heart health.

Consult a cardiac specialist for timely guidance and care.
