Not all knee pain has the same cause.

Two common conditions that patients often confuse are meniscus tears and bursitis. While both can cause pain, they affect different parts of the knee and often need different treatment.

In this carousel, I've explained the key differences in simple language to help you understand what your symptoms might be.

For many of us, sitting cross-legged is a part of everyday life. So it's natural to wonder when you can do it again after a hip replacement.

The answer is not based on how many weeks have passed—it's based on how well your hip has healed, how strong your muscles have become, and how stable your new joint is.

That's why recovery is different for every patient.

Don't rush it or compare yourself with someone else. The right time is when your surgeon has assessed your recovery and it's safe for you to do so.

A little patience now can help you enjoy your new hip for many years to come.

"Doctor, is it a ligament tear or just a muscle strain?"

It's one of the most common questions I hear after a sports injury, a fall, or even a sudden twist while walking.

The truth is, they may feel similar in the beginning, but they're not the same. A muscle strain affects the muscles or tendons, while a ligament tear involves the tissues that hold your bones together at a joint. The treatment, recovery time, and rehabilitation can be very different.

In this carousel, I'll help you understand the key differences so you know when it's okay to rest at home—and when it's time to see an orthopaedic specialist.

People often ask me, "Doctor, what's the one thing I should do to keep my joints healthy as I age?"

My answer is always the same.
There isn't just one thing. Magic solution nahi... bas roz ki sahi habits. Wahi asli game changer hain.

After seeing thousands of patients, I've learned that the people who stay active into their 70s don't rely on luck. They follow a few simple habits every day.

In this Reel, I'm sharing the three daily practices I recommend most often.

That sharp stab in your heel the moment your foot touches the floor in the morning, it's one of the most common signs of plantar fasciitis. Many people live with it for months, thinking it's just stiffness or tiredness.

The pain usually eases as you start walking, then creeps back after long hours on your feet. If this sounds familiar, it's worth getting checked rather than waiting it out.

Plantar fasciitis is very treatable when caught early. Don't ignore that first step pain.

Heel pain isn't something you should learn to live with.

Ignoring a heel spur or persistent heel pain can change the way you walk, putting extra stress on your knees, hips, and back.

The good news? Early treatment is often simple and effective.

Don't wait until every step hurts. Listen to your body and seek timely orthopedic care.

Ashutosh's review began with a line that genuinely made me smile:

"How could a doctor get a 4.9 rating?"

The truth is, ratings are never the goal. Good patient outcomes are.

When patients choose to share their experience on their own, it becomes the most meaningful feedback of all.

One line stood out to me even more:

"He has not even asked me once for any rating."

That's how I believe feedback should be; earned, never asked for.

Thank you, Ashutosh, for sharing your experience.

Years of studying. Years of training. Hours standing in the OT.

Sab isi ek pal ke liye.
The moment a patient who came to you in pain — who had stopped believing they could live
normally again — walks out after surgery and realises something has changed.

That one moment. That look. That is why we chose this.
On National Doctor's Day, to every patient who trusted us thank you. And to every doctor
who still gets that feeling never lose it.

Happy Doctor's Day. 1st July.

Hip fractures are not just a bone injury. For patients over 70, delayed surgery is directly linked to higher mortality.

Research shows that surgery within 24 - 48 hours, when medically appropriate, is associated with better recovery and fewer complications.
Fixation or Hip Replacement?

The decision depends on:
✔️ Type and location of the fracture
✔️ Bone quality
✔️ Age and activity level
✔️ Overall health status

What happens before surgery?
The focus is on optimising the patient quickly and safely.

This includes:
✔️ Medical and cardiac assessment
✔️ Blood investigations
✔️ Medication review
✔️ Anaesthetic evaluation

Questions Families Should Ask
✔️ What type of fracture is it?
✔️ Is fixation or hip replacement recommended?
✔️ Is the patient medically optimised for surgery?
✔️ What are the anaesthetic considerations?
✔️ When can mobilisation and rehabilitation begin?

In elderly hip fractures, timely decision-making can significantly influence recovery, independence, and long-term outcomes.

An ankle sprain isn't always "just a sprain."

This patient continued to experience ankle pain and instability after a sports injury. Evaluation revealed a partial ATFL ligament tear.

He underwent PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy along with a structured rehabilitation program and experienced gradual improvement in pain, ankle stability, and function, allowing him to return to his regular activities.

PRP uses concentrated platelets from your own blood, which contain growth factors that may support the body's natural healing process.

PRP treatments can help if you have...
✔️ Persistent ankle pain after a sprain or injury
✔️ Ligament injuries that are slow to heal
✔️ Recurrent ankle sprains or a feeling that the ankle "gives way"
✔️ Difficulty returning to sports or physical activity

If you are are facing any mobility isssues, a specialist assessment can help determine whether PRP or other treatment options may be appropriate for you.
