"The Palm Chakra, located at the center of the hand, is one of the most important Minor Chakras and becomes fully activated during a Kundalini awakening. Directly connected to Sahasrara and the Spirit Element, it mirrors the Sole Chakra in the feet and the Minor Chakras in the head, forming a unified system that channels Divine energy throughout the body. As the Kundalini rises and the higher centers open, the Palm Chakras begin to infuse the Body of Light with Spirit energy, allowing it to circulate freely. In this state, the hands are no longer passive—they become active conduits of higher consciousness, capable of both receiving and transmitting subtle energies.

During this awakening process, the Hand Chakras are further activated through their connection to the Throat Chakra (Vishuddhi), the first Chakra of the Spirit Element. As Vishuddhi opens, it enables the full expression of energy through the hands. Healing energy generated in the Heart Chakra (Anahata) rises upward, passes through Vishuddhi, and is projected outward through the palms. At the same time, the hands begin functioning as intuitive sensors, receiving energetic impressions from the environment. Through their link with Ajna, these impressions are interpreted and understood, allowing the individual to perceive energy beyond the physical senses.

As Kundalini continues its ascent and stabilizes in the higher centers, the Hand Chakras become highly refined instruments of perception and interaction. The individual gains the ability to “read” energy directly—often through touch—receiving information about people, objects, and environments..." "The four philosophical Elements are what comprise all physical aspects of Creation. They are Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. These Four Elements arise from the Trinity of the three philosophical Principles of Sulfur, Mercury, and Salt (Soul, Spirit, and Body). The Trinity is responsible for animating all aspects of the material world, beginning with the Four Elements. This Trinity, on the other hand, arises out of the duality of Light and darkness. And finally, the duality arises out of the unity of The All-God. In this context, the Four Elements do not correspond with the Elements described in the scientific field of chemistry. For example, the Fire Element is not just flame, and the Water Element is not just H2O. Instead, these Four Elements, in varying combinations, are found within all aspects of manifested Creation. Found within the three Principles of Alchemy is the notion of the fifth Element—the Element of Spirit. The Spirit Element is also referred to as Philosophic Mercury, the Secret Fire (Kundalini), or the Quintessence. The Quintessence can be found within the Four Philosophic Elements themselves. The Quintessence is not a product of the Four Elements, as it is not an aspect of material Creation. Instead, the Quintessence precedes the Four Elements. It is the Trinity of the three philosophical Principles, as the Divine Principle and the Prima Materia. The Spirit is the substance used to create the Philosopher's Stone. The symbol of the Spirit, or the Quintessence, is the Pentagram itself, hence its use in Ceremonial Magick. Within "The Magus," one can experience the Quintessence through the SIRP exercise..."-Excerpt from "The Magus: Kundalini and the Golden Dawn" by Neven Paar

"The areas where the Sympathetic Nervous System and Parasympathetic Nervous System meet are centred around major body organs and endocrine glands. Referred to as "Plexuses," these convergence areas in the body's cavities form the most vital grouping of nerve cells. The Plexuses connect the significant bodily organs to the spinal cord. These are also the areas where the Major Chakras are located at the front of the body. The Major Chakras interact with the physical body through the nervous system and the endocrine glands and organs. Each Chakra is associated with particular bodily functions, controlled by its Plexus and the endocrine glands and organs related to it. In the centre of each of the Major Chakras is a stem-like channel (Figure 23). Each channel extends towards the spinal cord and merges with it—Sushumna powers each of the Major Chakras by providing them with their vital energy. Chakric stems bend downwards near the Pharyngeal Plexus (Throat), Cardiac and Pulmonary Plexuses (Heart), Splenic and Celiac Plexuses (Solar), Pelvic Plexus (Sacral) and Coccygeal and Sacral Plexuses (Root). Above the Carotid Plexus (Mind's Eye), the Chakric stem bends upwards, while for Sahasrara Chakra, it rises to the top of the head through the Cerebral Cortex."- Excerpt from "Serpent Rising: The Kundalini Compendium" by Neven Paar

"The first step in the evolution of humanity took place right after our Creation as a species. We were perfect, living in a pristine state of existence in the Garden of Eden, where Spirit was Matter and Matter was Spirit. However, due to our innate desire for knowledge and curiosity about the Unknown, we were destined to Fall from the Garden of Eden. Our Fall was the effect, while the Serpent's temptation was the cause. He piqued Eve's curiosity and inspired her to do the one thing that God told her not to do—eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Consequently, according to the words of the Serpent, it was the very thing that would make her and Adam "like" Gods and give them knowledge of good and evil. The Lord God told Eve and Adam that they would die if they ate of the Tree of Knowledge. The death God was speaking of is a Spiritual death, a transformation of consciousness. Knowing the inner nature of his creation, God knew that Adam and Eve would disobey him and eat of the Tree of Knowledge. Nonetheless, since he gave them Free Will, he wanted it to be their decision. He knew that their disobedience would result in their ban from the Garden of Eden, putting them on a perilous Spiritual journey that would eventually result in their symbolic death, followed by a rebirth and re-entrance back to the Garden. The final step of our Spiritual evolution is the awakening of the Kundalini. It is the activation of the complete Tree of Life and raising of individual consciousness to the Supernals. Once we accomplish this, we will reenter the Garden of Eden. We will live forever, as God said. Not our physical bodies our course, but by Spiritualizing our Egos, we will liberate our Souls from the pain and fear of living in the material world..." -Excerpt from "The Magus: Kundalini and the Golden Dawn" by Neven Paar

They say you never truly leave the places that shaped you, and today marks a bittersweet milestone as I resign from my position as a Visiting Lecturer at Malda Women’s College.

This journey has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life. Walking these halls first as a student, and later as a colleague working alongside my own professors, has been an honor I don’t take lightly. To transition from being guided by my mentors to collaborating with them as a fellow has been an invaluable experience that I will carry with me forever.

Thank you to my professors and the entire MWC family for the trust, the guidance, and the friendship. While this chapter as a lecturer comes to an end, the lessons I’ve learned here both as a learner and as a teacher will stay with me in everything I do next.

Signing off,
Shreya saha B.A , M.A , PGDCP
(Consultant psychologist & visiting lecturer)
