CSI Basel Mission Hospital, the 150-bed charitable and health referral institute of Gadag was started by the missionaries of Switzerland's Basel Mission who were sent to india in 1901 to proclaim the gospel. Moved by the plight of the people who were struggling with famine-like conditions in the region and driven by a mission to spread health awareness, the missionaries started the hospital in 19

We are proud to share that the Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) program for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) & Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training was successfully held in Gadag on the 4th and 5th of July, 2026.

This highly impactful educational initiative was organized by the prestigious Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, CMC Vellore, in proud collaboration with Basel Mission CSI Hospital, Gadag and the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Gadag.

The program featured insightful sessions by Dr. Nihal Thomas, Dr. Anwar Hussain, and Mrs. Vijaylakshmi.
