Started BARIATRIC Surgery at Rajiv Gandhi Super-specialty Hospital (RGSSH) with Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy for a Morbidly obese pt with metabolic Syndrome with severe OSA, BMI- 53.9 (wt- 129.5kg).
Patient Ambulated on Post op day 0. Liquid diet started on day 2. Patient discharged on post op day 5.
Grateful to see a swift recovery.
Grateful to my team, Anaesthesia team, ICU for wonderful Team work.

Corrosive Esophageal stricture -

Colon pull up (EsophagoPharyngoColoplasty - substituting colon for the damaged/scarred esophagus) done for high esophageal stricture starting at UES.
Pt discharged uneventfully.

The smile patient had while taking her 1st swallow after 1 yr, the tears that flowed down her joyful eyes and the thankful words that she had for the team - made all our team efforts rewarded.

I am very much thankful to the God almighty to help us do wonderful things to make an impact in someone's life.
Thanks to our Anaesthesia team, ICU team and our SRs for their wonderful care @ .

Large intra abdominal (small bowel) tumour 18x 10 cm - removed.
Pt presented with a long history of abdominal pain, lump and recurrent GI bleed.
Managed successfully at Rajiv Gandhi Superspeciality Hospital.

Laparoscopic Hiatus hernia repair with Nissen's Fundoplication.

Hiatus hernia is a common disorder presenting with recurrent heartburn, regurgitation often requiring life long medical management.

Laparoscopic surgery can offer one time anatomical correction with long lasting symptomatic relief.

Seg 4b liver - Complex Cystic lesion, close to hilum - Diagnosis- Hydatid cyst or Biliary Cystadenoma. Hydatid Serology Negative.
We did an open complete excision(pericystectomy)with enbloc cholecystectomy.
On cut section of specimen- multiple grape like daughter cysts s/o Hydatid Cyst.

Pt discharged on postop day 2.

Laparoscopic Low Anterior Resection for Carcinoma Re**um.
postop HPE- pT2 N0.
Patient started on oral liquids on post op day 1. Ambulatory by post op day 1. Discharged on Day 4.
Feeling good to see swift recovery in laparoscopic cases.

Recently, I had a chance to perform a Laparoscopic Modified Heller's Cardiomyotomy with Dor Fundoplication, for a patient with Type 2 Achalasia, with dysphagia to liquids and solids (more for liquids) with persistent chest heaviness and weight loss.

Pt had very significant symptomatic relief even on post op day 1. Patient discharged on full liquid diet.
