Founded by Dr AK Chaturvedi (MD Radiation Oncologist) and his better half, Dr Dipti Chaturvedi (MS Obs Gynae) in roughly 2000, Dr Chaturvedi Cancer Hospital & Research Institute was envisioned as a safe haven for patients feeling helpless and hopeless in the era of unreliable treatment methodologies, not to mention skewed treatment costs in various hospitals in and around Gorakhpur owing to ill-managed infrastructure. Both of them had poured nearly 20+ years of experience into their craft before deciding to go solo in 2002, all the while witnessing the suffering of the people of Gorakhpur. The hospital was in its baby steps then, and has now grown significantly, catering to specific needs of individual patients. A patient-centric approach is the crux of the treatment protocols here, whereby the treatment costs are adjusted to the patient's emotional or even psychological limitations, as every patient is a human being and is treated as one at our premises.
