ECTOPIC PREGNANCY - In simple words....when pregnancy comes outside the uterus usually in narrow fallopian tube...

I am posting this pic because I highly highly appreciate the vigilance of this young mother having 2 children both by C-Section with younger one of only 1 year age. How busy she will be in her daily routine but as soon as she found her pregnancy test faintly positive at home with some discomfort, she attented the clinic. Ultrasound was done and it showed to be small paraovarian cyst . No e/o gestational sac inside or outside the uterus.
S. Beta hcg was done and it was elevated.
Immediate Diagnosis of ectopic was made and pt was operated on the very next day after proper counselling with tubectomy on the other side..

Just a bit of alertness saved her and her family from a damn emergency called RUPTURE leading to massive intraperitoneal haemorrhage which can lead to life risk.

CLINICAL TALES -

Sharing a case of MULTIPLE FIBROIDS / MYOMAS of uterus in a 25 years old UNMARRIED young girl.

This patient came to me in 2021 first time with menstrual complaints and an USG n MRI report showing multiple fibroids lesser than 4cm size.
I gave her treatment and counselled about all the possible management of fibroid as well as success and failures of medical management.

After that she visited many doctors , also Lucknow, BHU, Aiims, Gkp and was on on all kind of oral and injectable medicine of fibroid for long duration .
1 month back, she came again with recent reports showing immense growth in one myoma measuring 12*10*8.5 cm extending from fundus to internal os towards left cornua with other fibroids in right cornua and posterior wall.

Finally, patient was planned for open MYOMECTOMY and operation was done on 8/4/25. Postoperative period was uneventful and patient is doing good after surgery.

I really want to thank the assistants who helped me in taking out this huge myoma out of the abdomen taking care of the cosmetic part of surgery and also the courage of young girl undergoing this major operation.

May this girl always remain happy and disease free.
