Today, our Trust President, Dr. L. S. Patil, completed one of the most challenging and spiritually uplifting moments of his life—crossing Dolma La Pass (5,610 meters) during the sacred Kailash Parikrama.
At this altitude, every step is earned. His oxygen saturation dropped to 62%, and the effects of the extreme altitude made every breath and every thought more difficult. Yet faith has a remarkable way of carrying us forward when the body reaches its limits.
What touched him deeply today was the dedication of the Chinese emergency rescue and support teams stationed at this remote, unforgiving pass. Day after day, they stand ready in extreme weather and at one of the world's highest trekking routes, helping thousands of pilgrims, many of them from Bharat (India), complete this sacred 52 km Parikrama safely.
Politics belongs to governments. Humanity belongs to people.
Today, we salute these men and women for their professionalism, discipline, and compassion. After assisting him across the pass, one of the rescuers graciously agreed to this photograph—a rare gesture that we truly appreciate.
For millions of Hindus, Mount Kailash is among the holiest places on Earth. It is heartening to see so many dedicated individuals working tirelessly to help pilgrims undertake this profound spiritual journey.
Our sincere gratitude to the Chinese emergency rescue personnel, the support staff, and everyone serving in these extreme conditions.
May the spirit of respect, humanity, and understanding continue to build bridges between our two ancient civilizations. After all, one of the most sacred centers of Hindu faith is nestled in the majestic Himalayas of Tibet.
Thank you to every unsung hero who makes this pilgrimage possible.
Om Namah Shivaya.🙏
