To my dear people

In these challenging times dealing with the pandemic and unrest in our country, we have all experienced a great degree of stress, anxiety and felt fearful and hopeless at times. We all are facing multiple waves of mental health crisis. One moment we might be feeling numb, the next moment we may have a mix of emotions. Some of us had to deal with loss and bereavement.

I wanted to share with you that me and my family also had Covid . I was grappling with fear. Talking about my emotions helped a lot during the nightmare.
God has been extremely kind and merciful to us. It feels like getting a second life, another chance to live and work towards my soul purpose.

After struggling with post covid symptoms for many days, now I am absolutely fine and have resumed work. If you feel the need to talk it out, pls feel free to reach out to me.
Im with you in this .

Love and prayers

A letter from your therapist 🖋️

Dear Warriors,

Over the years, I've received countless emails, phone calls, queries and messages from you all. However, this year that has gone by gave me the opportunity to connect with more of you out there. As we step into a new year, I'd like to take this moment to write a letter to each one of you without whom my journey would be incomplete.
I am a therapist and so I'm expected to hear you out. I am expected to bury your secrets within me so that you can open up with me and let yourself vulnerable and unfiltered in front of me. In return, I am supposed to be a keeper, empathize and offer you tools to help you cope, but tell you almost nothing about myself while we exchange our stories. You may wonder if I think about you or will I remember you down the road. Well here's a little secret of mine that I wish to share with you. When we sit down and talk, when you walk me through your darkest thoughts, fears and constant struggles, I feel every bit of it and I have immense gratitude to be a part of your healing journey.
You thank me often, sometimes after sessions or when we end our journey together or when our paths cross few years down the line. Today, I want to thank each one of you bestowing upon me this honor of witnessing the genuine strength that lies within each and every human being who walks this earth.
As your therapist, I want you to know that I care very deeply about you. Your decision to come to me has been a brave one and one that I want to applaud you for. It's remarkable how you continued to come back to me. This bravery is my hope for you.
Every session with each one of you is a reminder that we triumph and soldier on, throughout some punishing and painful parts of this journey that we call life. During some instances, this triumph is mellow and during some it is a loud roar, but it is always there. Thank you for this daily reminder that keeps me going.
Whatever demons you may face, you entrust me with your thoughts and learnings that you have picked up about this battle along the way. You often innately know so much more than you give yourself credit for.
I am immeasurably grateful for each one of you for the opportunity to walk a small yet significant part of your journey with you.
Also, my heartiest congratulations on taking the time to get to know yourself better by coming to therapy. You are taking the steps required to make profound and important changes in your life.
Lastly, here's wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy 2021. May this year bring more hope and optimism for each one of you. May we become more self-aware and responsible for our own feelings. May we find our inner strength to come out healthier and happier.
Love

Learn to let go, let go of people and things that no longer make you happy. We don't realize how easily we handover the key of our emotions in other people's hands. Don't ever do that. This is your journey, your ride. Nobody should be sitting in the driver's seat except you. Take charge and see how that brings a difference in how you feel. Be a listener to yourself. Don't ignore that little voice inside your head. That's why self-awareness is so important. It brings you closer to that little voice inside you. It helps you define your purpose and once you have clarity on that, trust me you'll be in a better place, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. 🌻
