Successfully treated for TB? Don't ignore breathing problems afterwards.
Many people believe that once Tuberculosis (TB) is cured, the lungs become completely normal. Unfortunately, that's not always true.
TB can leave behind permanent structural damage, including:
✔️ Destroyed lung tissue
✔️ Bronchial narrowing (airway narrowing)
✔️ Lung scarring (fibrosis)
✔️ Recurrent chest infections
✔️ Persistent cough and breathlessness
If you continue to experience breathing difficulties after completing TB treatment, it's important to consult a Thoracic & Lung Specialist. Early evaluation can help improve your quality of life and prevent further complications.
👨⚕️ Dr. Mohan Venkatesh Pulle explains why post-TB lung damage should never be ignored.
