A simple interaction with an infected dog can, in rare cases, lead to a serious disease.

Hydatid cyst is a tapeworm infection that can pass from dogs to humans. In this case, the infection remained silent for years, gradually destroying the hip bone - ultimately requiring reconstruction with implants.

The good news? Prevention starts with awareness.

🐾 Deworm dogs regularly as advised by your veterinarian
🥩 Never feed dogs raw liver, lungs or offal
🧼 Wash hands after touching dogs or soil
🥬 Wash vegetables and herbs thoroughly
💧 Drink clean or boiled water
🩺 Handle infected organs safely after slaughter
