🌿 A Daadi–Naani Tradition for Pregnancy 🤰✨

Remember those simple pregnancy practices passed down by our daadi–naani? ❤️

One such traditional practice is soaking fresh curry leaves overnight in water kept in a copper vessel, and in the morning, chewing the curry leaves and drinking the infused water.

🌿 Curry leaves naturally contain iron and other micronutrients, while traditional copper-vessel use adds another element to this age-old practice.

✨ As part of a balanced pregnancy diet, curry leaves may help:
• Support dietary iron intake
• Provide antioxidants and micronutrients
• Support healthy digestion
• Complement overall maternal nutrition

But remember: this is a traditional food practice, not a treatment for iron-deficiency anemia. If your Hb or ferritin is low, prescribed iron supplementation and medical guidance remain important.

Would you try this Daadi–Naani pregnancy tradition? ❤️

Fear in labor isn’t always the enemy. 💛
A little adrenaline can actually give you energy and help your body respond during labor.

The goal isn’t zero fear—it’s learning to feel safe, supported and in control. 🌿🤰

8 REASONS WHY LABOR MAY SLOW DOWN AFTER 4 CM 🤰🏻💚

Reached 4 cm but dilation seems to be taking longer? Don’t assume your body has “failed.” Labor can slow for many reasons, and sometimes the body simply needs the right support, time and conditions.

Here are 8 factors that may contribute to slower progress:

1️⃣ A full bladder
A distended bladder can be uncomfortable and may interfere with comfortable positioning and descent.

2️⃣ You need to empty your bowel
The sensation of needing to pass stool can affect comfort and how you move or relax during labor.

3️⃣ Slow or less-effective contractions
Contractions need to become regular and effective enough to help the cervix change.

4️⃣ Low energy 🔋
Labor is physically demanding. Exhaustion can make movement, relaxation and coping much harder.

5️⃣ Baby’s position 👶🏻
If the baby’s head is tilted, poorly flexed or not well aligned with the cervix/pelvis, descent and rotation may take longer.

6️⃣ A tense pelvic floor
Fear, pain and tension can make it harder to relax the pelvic floor and find comfortable positions.

7️⃣ Stress & fear
Feeling unsafe, frightened or overwhelmed can increase tension and make coping with contractions more difficult.

8️⃣ Being constantly “on the clock” ⏰
Watching every hour, repeatedly checking dilation and feeling pressured to progress can increase anxiety and take away your confidence.

📌 Save this for your birth preparation.
👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏻 Share it with your birth partner so they know what to watch for and how they can support you.

Breech baby? Yoga can be a valuable part of your pregnancy preparation. 🤰✨

Regular prenatal yoga can help maintain pelvic mobility, flexibility, body awareness and relaxation—all of which support your body as your baby grows and moves into different positions.

Yoga may also help you feel more comfortable, reduce muscular tension and create better awareness of your posture and pelvic alignment.

While yoga cannot guarantee that a breech baby will turn, maintaining a mobile, relaxed and well-prepared body can be beneficial throughout pregnancy. 💛

✨ Move gently. Breathe deeply. Trust your body.
