Almost every Indian parent has heard this myth at some point. But the REAL science is actually very interesting. Mosquitoes are mainly attracted to:
🔥 body heat and 💨 carbon dioxide

And because children naturally breathe a little faster and are usually much more active than adults, they release more CO₂ and body heat, making them easier for mosquitoes to detect. Another reason? Children’s skin is more sensitive, so even small bites can look: More red, More swollen, More itchy and of course… toddlers scratch EVERYTHING 😭 which makes the reaction even bigger.

And YES!… the famous banana peel hack 🍌 may actually feel soothing because of its cooling & antioxidant properties. ⚠️ But if swelling becomes severe, very itchy, infected-looking, or keeps worsening, don’t ignore it. Consult your pediatrician.

💬 Comment “mosquito” to get more information and recommendations for repellent, Also Parents, tell us honestly, did YOU also grow up hearing “बच्चों का खून मीठा होता है”? 😂👇

“बच्चे का तालु भरना बहुत ज़रूरी है…” Almost every Indian parent has heard this from elders at some point.

But what exactly is the “talu” or soft spot on a baby’s head? And can oil, pressure, or massage actually “fill” it? 😳 In this podcast, I’ve explained the REAL science behind a baby’s soft spot (fontanelle) and why nature intentionally keeps that area flexible during early brain growth. 🧠 This is one of the MOST common traditional parenting myths discussed in our full podcast episode ❤️

💬 Have YOU ever heard advice about “talu bharna”? Tell us honestly below 👇 and Comment “TALU” and I’ll send you the full podcast link ❤️

The crying. The clinging. The guilt. The tiny hands pulling your clothes while you’re already late for work. 😭 And the truth is toddlers between 1–3 years often struggle with separation because YOU are their safe place. ❤️ But in those overwhelming morning moments, children usually don’t need long explanations, scolding, or emotional fixing. They need regulation through connection.

✨ This simple “3-3-3 Game” can help. It gently shifts the child’s brain from panic to play, fear to safety, tears to connection. And somewhere between the hugs, jumps, and giggles… both mama and child breathe a little easier. 🤍

💬 Working parents what’s the hardest part of morning goodbyes for you? 👇

This is one of the MOST common concerns parents have during the toddler years — especially between 1 to 5 years of age. But here’s what many parents don’t realize 👇 A toddler’s digestive system is STILL developing. And many healthy toddlers naturally p**p several times a day.
💡 One very common mistake: Parents start restricting fats thinking the child “cannot digest” them.
But toddlers actually NEED healthy fats for growth, brain development & gut health. Unless your doctor has advised restrictions, full-cream milk, curd & a little ghee are usually completely fine. 🧈
⚠️ If your child has fever, weight loss, blood in stools, severe pain, dehydration, or becomes unusually inactive, do consult your pediatrician.

This is one of the MOST common myths parents hear from relatives, neighbors, or even random internet advice. And many children are unnecessarily started on calcium syrups, supplements, or even worm medicines without proper evaluation. ⚠️ But the truth is: White spots on nails are usually linked to small nail injuries, nail biting, friction, or tight shoes, not calcium deficiency.

And white spots on teeth?
They can happen due to: 🦷 excess fluoride, 🦷 enamel formation changes, 🦷 or sometimes early dental caries

Which means blindly giving calcium supplements may not only be unnecessary… it may delay the REAL diagnosis.

🚫 Not every symptom needs supplements.
🚫 More calcium does NOT always mean healthier children.

Most healthy kids who are eating reasonably well usually do NOT need unnecessary calcium or worm medicines without medical advice.

Burn accidents are one of the MOST common home emergencies in toddlers, especially during tea time, cooking, or carrying hot food around active children. And no, it does NOT mean parents were careless. ❤️

Toddlers are naturally curious, fast, unpredictable, and difficult to react to within seconds. These home remedies can deepen the injury or make assessment difficult.

💡 The safest first step:
✔️ Cool running water for 10–15 minutes
✔️ Remove tight clothing gently
✔️ Use loose cotton clothes
✔️ Seek medical attention early

One more important thing:
⚠️ Not every burn needs antibiotics or multiple painkillers. And if your child’s vaccination is complete, tetanus is usually not required.

These few minutes after a burn injury matter A LOT.

💬 What’s one home remedy you were told to use for burns as a child? Tell us below 👇

One of the biggest things many new mothers are never told is this: 💡 Breastfeeding preparation actually starts BEFORE delivery.

A painful latch, cracked ni***es, feeding stress, or difficulty breastfeeding can sometimes happen simply because moms were never guided about:
✔️ ni**le care
✔️ feeding positions
✔️ latch techniques
✔️ flat or retracted ni***es

And when a mother is already recovering physically and emotionally after childbirth, breastfeeding struggles can feel overwhelming. ❤️ Simple preparation during the last few weeks of pregnancy can make the breastfeeding journey much smoother for both mother and baby.

A good latch should not feel painful. 🤱 Mothers deserve preparation, support & reassurance, not guilt. If you’re an expecting mom, save this reel now. It may help you later more than you realize.

Many parents use diaper rash cream only AFTER the rash appears. But the real goal of a good rash cream is prevention + protection. 👶🩲 Heat, sweat, humidity, urine, stool enzymes & diaper friction can seriously irritate a baby’s delicate skin during summer months. And once a rash becomes severe, it can disturb sleep, feeding, and make babies extremely uncomfortable. 😣

💡 One important thing many parents don’t know:
Parents completely wipe off the diaper rash cream during every diaper change.
❌ Don’t remove the entire layer.
✔️ Just clean the dirty upper layer gently and apply another protective coat after cleaning before the next diaper change.

⚠️ If the rash is spreading, becoming very red, or your baby is unusually irritable, don’t ignore it — consult your pediatrician.

💬 What’s the one baby skincare problem you struggle with most during summers? Tell us below 👇
