Neck stretches are targeted physical movements designed to lengthen the muscles in the neck, upper back, and shoulders. Incorporating them into a daily routine helps counteract the physical toll of modern lifestyles, such as prolonged sitting, looking down at smartphones, or poor computer posture.

Important Safety Note: Never force a stretch or use your hands to pull your head into aggressive positions. Neck movements should always be slow, controlled, and pain-free. If you experience sharp pain, numbness, or tingling down your arms, stop immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

GLUTE BRIDGES
The glute bridge is a highly effective, low-impact exercise that primarily targets your glutes (buttocks) and hamstrings while engaging your core for stability. It is a versatile move suitable for beginners and advanced athletes alike, helping to improve posture, pelvic stability, and overall lower-body function.

CORE STRENGTHENING
Plank: Start in a push-up position but rest your weight on your forearms instead of your hands. Keep your body in a straight line from your head to your heels, engaging your abdominal muscles. Hold this position for 30–60 seconds.
Dead Bug: Lie on your back with arms extended toward the ceiling and legs in a tabletop position (knees bent at 90 degrees). Slowly lower your right arm behind your head and extend your left leg straight out simultaneously, keeping your lower back pressed firmly into the floor. Return to the center and switch sides.
Bird-Dog: Begin on all fours (hands under shoulders, knees under hips). Simultaneously reach your right arm forward and your left leg backward, keeping your back flat and hips level. Pause, return to center, and repeat on the other side.
Glute Bridges: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Squeeze your glutes and lift your hips toward the ceiling until your body forms a straight line from shoulders to knees. Lower back down slowly.

The gluteal muscles—comprising the gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus—are among the largest and most powerful muscles in the body. Strengthening them through targeted exercises is essential for overall physical health, functional movement, and injury prevention.

If you are experiencing pain or have specific medical concerns, it is recommended to consult with a physical therapist or healthcare professional to ensure these exercises are performed correctly and are safe for your specific needs.
Would you like tips on how to improve your form for any of these specific movements?

This exercise, often called myofascial release, is excellent for targeting the tightness directly in the arch. Simply place a tennis or lacrosse ball under your foot while seated, apply a comfortable amount of pressure, and slowly roll the ball back and forth along the arch of your foot.
This helps massage the plantar fascia and can provide temporary relief from tension. Aim to do this for about 3 to 5 minutes per foot. If you find the tennis ball is too soft, some people prefer using a firm golf ball for a deeper, more intense massage.
