Today I celebrate 3 months since my knee surgery. It has become a significant part of my life, even though I don't talk about it much.

When it all happened with me I couldn't even imagine how serious it would be. I knew nothing about torn ACL or other ligaments. It was awful watching videos about the differences between ACL, PCL, and MCL when you have all three torn.

I am so grateful to the surgeon who agreed to repair all three ligaments at once. Otherwise, I would have needed several operations.

While preparing for the surgery, I couldn't accept that in just a few days, I wouldn't even be able to walk and that the simplest tasks would become impossible. That's when realized how important it is to appreciate the opportunities life gives us.

I know it's not the hardest injury, but I faced it for the first time in my life.

It's been half a 85 days now, and I've made great progress, but still feel so limited. I can't run, can't jump properly yet, and I can only hope that I'll be able to kite again this summer.

Of course, I don't mean any jumps or tricks, just getting back on the water would be a huge gift for me.

Lastly, the psychological aspect is a burden. Every day, you have to push yourself to do rehab through pain, laziness, and the fear that the knee might break again. It has affected my studies and my life in general.

It's not over yet and the exercises are only getting harder. But it was given me for a reason and know it.
