One of the greatest misconception among the public is that having sour (tenga) food after a surgery will cause formation of pus (gha pokibo) and prevent healing.

The truth is exactly the opposite. Sour (specifically citrus, like lemon, amla, orange) food contains Vitamin C which is essential for formation of collagen, which helps wounds to heal faster. It does not cause pus formation.

So please don't avoid sour food. It's good for you after a surgery.
