A significant step towards protecting the dignity and legal status of registered Homoeopathic practitioners in India.
The Board of Ethics and Registration in Homoeopathy (BERH), under the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), has officially taken serious cognizance of the increasing derogatory, defamatory, misleading, and unsubstantiated statements being made against Homoeopathy and registered Homoeopathic practitioners across print, electronic, digital, and social media platforms.
🔹 Key Highlights:
✅ Homoeopathy is a legally recognized system of medicine under the National Commission for Homoeopathy Act, 2020.
✅ Registered Homoeopathic practitioners have a lawful right to practice as per the provisions of the Act.
✅ Labeling registered Homoeopathic practitioners as “quacks” is unacceptable, defamatory, misleading, and may violate statutory provisions as well as the constitutional rights of practitioners.
✅ Practitioners, institutions, media organizations, stakeholders, and the public are advised to exercise due diligence while making statements related to Homoeopathy and to avoid language that is defamatory, prejudicial, or misleading.
✅ Concerns regarding any individual practitioner should be addressed through appropriate legal, regulatory, disciplinary, or statutory mechanisms rather than through generalized attacks on the entire Homoeopathy profession.
The Commission has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the dignity, integrity, and lawful status of the Homoeopathic profession and its registered practitioners.
