π INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL-| TRAINING OF TRAINERS (ToT) ON SIMULATION BASED EDUCATION 2026.
It is a great privilege that our Maharishi Dayanand Institute of Nursing Dean/Principal
Prof. Regina D. Rabello, and Prof. Rakesh
have successfully completed the training on simulation-based educationβa modern clinical teaching and learning methodology conducted by the Indian Nursing Council at the National Reference Simulation Centre (NRSC). This center is a collaborative initiative between the INC, Jhpiego, Laerdal, and SGT University, Gurugram.
We are delighted to share that our Principal and Faculty of Maharishi Dayanand Institute of Nursing (MDIN), Chaudharywas, Hisar, have takenpart the 6-Day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Simulation-Based Education, conducted in collaboration with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) from 7th to 12th September 2026 at the National Reference Simulation Centre (NRSC), SGT University, Gurugram.
The intensive training provided comprehensive hands-on exposure to advanced simulation-based education and Laboratory training methodologies, including:
πΉ Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
πΉ Development and Management of Simulation Scenarios Pre-Brief and De- Brief sessions,
πΉ Clinical Case Scenarios & Case Studies
and utilisation of Checklists
πΉ Practical Skill Development through Simulation based Education
πΉ Clinical Reasoning, Critical Thinking & Decision-Making
πΉ Teamwork, Communication & Leadership Skills
πΉ Facilitator Skill Development through Simulation case Scenarios, Pre-Brief and Debrief sessions
πΉ Above all it emphasise that the Competency- Based Hospital training for the students is allowed only after thorough Knowledge acquisition, Skills Proficiency, Critical thinking, Decision making, Simulation in Team and finally Clinical Expertise.
The National Reference Simulation Centre, in collaboration with the Indian Nursing Council, conducts structured 6-day Training of Trainers programs in Simulation-Based Education to strengthen the competencies of nursing educators across India.
The program focuses on integrating simulation, OSCE, case studies, checklists and competency-based assessment into contemporary nursing education.
π A Step Towards Advanced Nursing Education and New Learning Methodology through Low to High Fidelity Simulators, Task Trainers, Hybrid Patients new and advanced equipment at MDIN
Following the training, MDIN will implement these advanced methodologies at the institutional level through Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) sessions and specialized hands-on Workshops.
The knowledge and skills acquired during this National-level training will be shared with our faculty and incorporated into student training, helping create a more interactive, competency-based, clinically oriented and practice-focused learning environment.
