Not every meaningful talk has to be a scientific lecture or a CME. Sometimes, the most impactful conversations are simply heart-to-heart.
I was deeply humbled to be invited by more than 100 doctors with nursing homes, hospitals and their families to their get-together. Instead of discussing oncology or medicine, they asked me to share my journey as a doctor—my personal, professional, social, and spiritual experiences over the past 20 years.
I titled my talk “My Lessons from My Life – Wise Quotes from a White Coat.” It was a reflection on where I started, what I have learned along the way, what keeps me going, and the dreams I continue to pursue.
The discussion went far beyond medicine. It explored the importance of balancing professional excellence with family values, meaningful relationships, gratitude, purpose, and inner peace. It reminded us that while we wear a white coat, we are also human beings with hopes, struggles, responsibilities, and aspirations.
My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Somulu Garu and the entire team for this warm invitation and for creating such a beautiful family gathering. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak from my heart rather than from a podium. If even a few words touched someone’s heart, inspired a colleague, or encouraged a family, then the evening was truly worthwhile.
When hearts connect, knowledge transforms into wisdom, and experiences become inspiration.
