Honoured to be invited as an expert speaker at the 2nd PGI Arthroplasty Course 2025, held at the prestigious , Chandigarh.

I spoke on two topics that continue to shape modern joint care:
🔹 Ceramic Knee Replacement
🔹 Complex fractures in the elderly – Arthroplasty as a solution

Grateful to be among peers and mentors who share the same relentless pursuit of excellence.
Every stage we step on is a reminder — we grow by sharing, we lead by learning.

Thank you to the organizing team, co-faculty, and young surgeons who made this experience so special.

Onward — to more conversations that simplify complexity and transform care.

“Precision isn’t just in the cut. It’s in the judgment before it.”

A recent discussion on the benefits of robotic-assisted knee replacements brought forth diverse perspectives - each valuable, each rooted in a shared goal: better outcomes for our patients.

Having spent over 23 years in orthopedic practice, across different health systems and technologies, I can say with conviction that technology is an enabler - not a replacement for surgical wisdom. Robotic systems bring us closer to precision in alignment and consistency. But even the most advanced platform cannot substitute for experience, sound judgment and clinical accountability.

Progress in surgery must walk hand-in-hand with prudence.

What we must be cautious of, however, is the narrative. Innovation should inspire inquiry - not arrogance. It should open dialogue, not shut it down. Dismissing experience, oversimplifying evidence, or assuming mastery too early can be as harmful as surgical error itself.

To young surgeons stepping into exciting times: let your passion be tempered by patience, your ambition balanced by humility. There’s great power in saying, “I don’t know enough yet.” And even greater responsibility in acknowledging when things go wrong.

Because what defines a surgeon isn’t how we operate when everything goes right—
It’s how we respond when it doesn’t.

To institutional leaders and decision-makers: let us champion technology and also safeguard the principles that hold up our profession - respect for clinical insight, culture of responsibility and long-view thinking.

The robot is welcome.
But it must always be guided by the hand and heart - of a responsible surgeon.

“Fix your posture before it fixes you!” 💀

Yesterday, I wrapped up an emergency surgery at and went straight into a webinar session on Posture & Ergonomics for Work for corporate employees at . Ironically, I found myself reflecting on my own posture - hours of operating in awkward positions take a real toll.

Bad posture isn’t just a desk job problem. It affects everyone - whether you’re in surgery, in front of a screen, or constantly on your feet. Neck pain, back strain, and fatigue are all too common, but the good news is small changes make a big difference!

âś… Sit straight, keep your screen at eye level, take movement breaks.
✅ For those standing long hours—distribute weight evenly, engage your core.
âś… And for surgeons like me? Well, I guess I need to follow my own advice!
