Body breath mind co-ordination...

Deeper isn’t always better.
Yoga is not about how far you can go, but how consciously you practise.
Breathe. Be aware. Respect your body.

26/08/2026

Your breath can often tell you when you’re stressed, sometimes before you even realise it.

Instead of immediately trying to change your breathing, pause and notice.

Is your breath shallow?
Are your shoulders moving more than your ribs?
Does your breathing feel rushed?

And when you practise breathing, remember, you don’t have to force yourself to take a very long breath.

Let the length of your breath be guided by what feels comfortable, steady and natural for you.

Breathwork begins with awareness, not force.

Take a moment today to simply notice your breath.

Starting yoga? Remember these 3 things:

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to force a pose.
And you don’t need to compare your practice with anyone else.
Yoga is not about how the pose looks.
It’s about how you breathe, move, and become aware of your body.
Start where you are.

You don’t need to be flexible to start yoga.
Flexibility isn’t the entry fee, it’s a result of practice.

Come as you are.
Breathe. Move. Practise.
Let your body change with time.

You don’t have to arrive flexible. You just have to arrive.

There was a time when I questioned if motherhood was meant for me.

After experiencing three miscarriages, I carried not only grief but also fear and uncertainty. It was my mother's decision to join yoga classes for my mental stress..

Yoga didn't promise me a miracle. What it gave me was something just as important, hope, strength, patience, and a deep connection with my body. It taught me to breathe through the difficult days, calm my mind, reduce stress, and trust the journey.

In time, I conceived and was blessed with my children. While every fertility journey is unique and there are never guarantees, yoga became a powerful source of healing and support in mine.

Today, I share my story to remind anyone walking this path that you are not alone. Be gentle with yourself. Have faith in your body. Take one breath, one day, one step at a time.

If my journey can give even one person hope, then sharing it is worth it. ❤️

Bladder Incontinence & Yoga Do you leak urine when you cough, sneeze, laugh, exercise, or feel a sudden urge to urinate?...

Bladder Incontinence & Yoga

Do you leak urine when you cough, sneeze, laugh, exercise, or feel a sudden urge to urinate?

You're not alone. Bladder incontinence is common after childbirth and during perimenopause and menopause—but it is not something you simply have to live with.

A therapeutic yoga practice may help:
1. Improve pelvic floor awareness
2. Strengthen the core and pelvic support muscles
3. Improve posture and breathing
4. Reduce stress and pelvic tension

Every practice should be adapted to the individual's needs.

Yoga supports recovery but does not replace medical care. If symptoms are persistent, painful, or sudden, consult a healthcare professional.

Small, consistent steps can lead to better bladder control, greater confidence, and an improved quality of life.

The breath you take shapes the life you live.

Bhastrika Pranayama, also known as the Bellows Breath, is a powerful yogic breathing technique that energizes the body, improves lung capacity, enhances mental clarity, and awakens your inner vitality.

Like every pranayama, it should be practised with proper technique, awareness, and respect for your body's limitations. In this carousel, I've shared everything you need to know—from what Bhastrika is, how to practise it safely, its benefits, common mistakes, contraindications, and the best time to practise.

Take a few minutes to learn before you practise. A mindful breath is always more valuable than a forceful one.

Save this post for your next pranayama session.

Share it with someone who is beginning their yoga journey.

💬 Let me know in the comments if you'd like more posts on traditional pranayama.
