There’s often a difficult gap between studying therapy and actually practising therapy. A gap we keep noticing and we keep talking about.

Many psychology students and early-career therapists know concepts in theory, but still feel unsure when it comes to:

- understanding real sessions,
- thinking clinically,
- sitting with clients,
- case conceptualisation,
- or applying modalities in an actual therapeutic space.

At Art of Mental Wellness, we wanted to create something that bridges that gap in a more supported, ethical, and practice-oriented way.

✨ Introducing: Level 2- CBT Focused Clinical Training Program ✨

A 3-month immersive internship designed for final semester Master’s students, early-career therapists, those wanting deeper practical understanding of CBT and individuals looking to move beyond foundational learning into applied therapeutic work.

This internship includes CBT focused working 1:1 with a therapist, shadowing the therapist and observing the sessions, being part of the team meetings and supervision spaces, doing assignments and finally a supervised practice component, where interns gradually begin working with clients in a supported and ethical framework under supervision .

The intention is to go beyond “teaching therapy”- and to embody it instead.

This is for those who genuinely want to learn deeply, reflect, ask questions, and grow into practice thoughtfully.

Curious about how art can be integrated into therapeutic practice?

Art Based Therapy 101 is a 4-day experiential training designed for psychology students and practicing psychologists who want to learn how creative expression can deepen therapeutic work.

This program blends theory and hands-on experiential learning to help you understand how art can support emotional expression, self-awareness, and healing within therapy.

Over four days, we will explore:
✨ Foundations and history of art therapy
✨ How and when to introduce art in therapy sessions
✨ Working with artwork created in sessions
✨ Expressive arts techniques for individual and group settings
✨ Art-based interventions for concerns like anxiety, depression, and body image

If you’re interested in bringing creativity into your therapeutic work, this training offers a structured and experiential introduction.

What if talking about anxiety didn’t have to feel so heavy or lonely?

Introducing Anxie-Tea Time: Cohort 3 ☕

A therapist-led support group where we slow down, talk honestly about anxiety, and learn practical ways to cope- all over a cup of tea (or hot chocolate).

This is a warm, judgment-free space where you can simply show up as you are. No pressure to perform, no need to have the “right words”; just a space to breathe, reflect, understand yourself and feel understood.

Because sometimes, being heard in the right space makes all the difference.

If anxiety has been feeling overwhelming lately, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
