Can cooled rice reduce sugar spike?

Why it works: it asks a direct question everyone who eats rice—and especially people concerned about diabetes—will want answered. Avoid putting “60%” as the central claim unless the video immediately explains it is from one specific small study, not a universal result. The source document itself notes that effects vary by rice type, amylose content, and cooling method.

You may not need to stop eating rice—but the way you store it may matter. Cooling cooked rice promptly and refrigerating it can increase resistant starch, which may help reduce the post-meal glucose rise in some people.

Food safety matters: refrigerate cooked rice within 2 hours, use it within 1–2 days, and reheat only once until piping hot. If you use insulin or glucose-lowering medicines, speak with your tre

High Vitamin B12 in Blood: A Warning Sign, Not a Cause of Cancer

A study of more than 37,000 people with colon cancer found that very high blood vitamin B12 levels were associated with poorer outcomes.

What was observed?
• High B12 was linked with more advanced cancer at diagnosis.

• It was associated with a greater likelihood of cancer spread, especially to the liver.

• Median survival was about 5 years in those with high B12, compared with nearly 11 years in people with normal B12 levels.

High vitamin B12 does not cause cancer.
And a high B12 blood test is not a cancer diagnosis.

However, an unexpectedly high B12 level—particularly in someone not taking B12 supplements or injections—can sometimes be a clinical clue that deserves appropriate evaluation.

High B12 may be seen with:
• Liver disease
• Kidney disease
• Blood or bone-marrow disorders
• Inflammation
• Certain cancers

Do not panic over one laboratory result. But a persistently high, unexplained B12 level should not be ignored.

Your doctor may interpret it along with your symptoms, medication or supplement history, complete blood count, liver tests, kidney tests, and other relevant investigations.

A high B12 result does not automatically mean cancer. However, if B12 remains persistently elevated without supplements, it is sensible to discuss the result with your doctor and look for the underlying cause. Current research shows mixed associations, not proof that elevated B12 or supplementation directly causes cancer

Ozempic vs Mounjaro for Fatty Liver — What the New 2026 Guidelines Say

For the first time, doctors are told to pick the drug based on what problem the patient has — not just how much weight is lost.

1: For weight loss
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is now ahead of Ozempic (semaglutide).
Head-to-head trials show it drops more kilos.

2: For fatty liver (MASH)
Both drugs work equally well to reverse the inflammation.
Either one is a fair choice.

3: For liver scarring (fibrosis)
Only Ozempic has strong proof it can improve the scarring.
Mounjaro may catch up — the data just isn’t ready yet.

4: For other problems
• Heart attack/stroke risk → Ozempic wins (SELECT trial)
• Sleep apnea (snoring + breathing pauses) → Mounjaro wins (SURMOUNT-OSA trial)

5: The drug alone is NOT enough
Experts warn: these injections must come with —
Enough protein
Strength training (to save muscle)
Vitamin checks
Mental health support

There is no “best” injection anymore.
The right one depends on your main health issue — weight, liver, heart, or sleep.
Talk to your doctor before choosing. One size does not fit all.

Jaundice is not a disease—it is an important warning sign from the body. Yellow eyes, dark urine, tiredness, vomiting, or abdominal pain should not be ignored. Do not rely only on gruel diets or unlabelled herbal remedies; finding the underlying cause matters most. Maintain proper nutrition including protein, avoid alcohol, and seek urgent medical care for warning symptoms.

Red Bull + Vodka = Silent Killer? Gastro Doctor Warning

Is mixing Red Bull with alcohol really safe? Industry-funded studies say “no harm” — but 80% of independent studies say the opposite. Caffeine keeps your brain alert while alcohol slows your body — this is called “wide-awake drunk,” and it’s linked to 3x higher injury risk in women, more binge drinking, and dangerous behavior. A gastroenterologist explains what actually happens inside your body.
