PMOS affects much more than the menstrual cycle.
Understanding the metabolic and hormonal aspects of the condition is essential for long-term health, not just fertility.
Treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.

07/08/2026

Endometriosis symptoms often fluctuate from one cycle to another.
That's because inflammation, hormones, sleep, stress, and nervous system sensitivity all interact in complex ways.
Pain doesn't have to be constant to be genuine.

Exercise doesn't treat Endometriosis directly, but it can improve strength, mobility, mood, and overall health.
The key isn't exercising harder, it's exercising smarter and listening to your body.
Movement should support healing, not punish pain.

Nutrition isn't a cure for Endometriosis, but it is one of the pillars that supports long-term health.
A balanced, anti-inflammatory eating pattern may help reduce the body's inflammatory load, support gut health, and improve overall well-being alongside appropriate medical treatment.
Small choices, made consistently, can make a meaningful difference over time.

A breakthrough technology called spatial biology allows scientists to see where immune cells, nerves, blood vessels, and scar tissue interact inside Endometriosis lesions.
It's helping researchers understand not just what is present—but how these cells communicate to sustain the disease.
The future of Endometriosis research is becoming more precise than ever before.

30/07/2026

No two Endometriosis lesions are exactly alike.
Using advanced techniques like single-cell sequencing, researchers are discovering that different lesions have distinct cellular and molecular profiles. This could explain why symptoms and treatment responses vary so much from one patient to another.
Understanding the biology of each lesion may be the future of personalized care.

Iron is essential for health, but in endometriosis, excess iron around lesions may contribute to oxidative stress and chronic inflammation.
Researchers are exploring ferroptosis, a newly recognized form of iron-dependent cell death, as a potential target for future therapies.
Sometimes, the smallest molecules reveal the biggest answers.

Congratulations to Dr. Harika Chilkkam on successfully completing her Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery & Advanced Endometriosis Care.

Over the course of her fellowship, Harika has demonstrated exceptional dedication, discipline, and a genuine passion for learning. She has grown into a confident, skilled, and compassionate surgeon, capable of managing complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures with increasing confidence. Watching her evolve into such a fantastic fellow has been immensely rewarding, and I am confident she will continue to make a meaningful impact in women’s healthcare.

This achievement would not have been possible without the collective efforts of an outstanding team. A special mention to Archana Reddy and Swetha Reddy , whose mentorship, guidance, day-to-day teaching, and unwavering support played a significant role in shaping Harika’s learning journey. Training future surgeons is truly a team effort, and I am grateful to have colleagues who are equally committed to education and excellence.

A heartfelt thank you to the Apollo Hospitals management for creating an environment that encourages advanced surgical training and academic excellence. My sincere appreciation to Mr. Tejaswi, Dr. Ravi, and Dr. Veeraprakash for their constant encouragement and support in making this fellowship a success.

Investing in surgical education today means better care for countless women tomorrow. Every well-trained endometriosis surgeon has the potential to change lives.

Congratulations once again, Dr. Harika. Wishing you continued success as you embark on the next phase of your career.

Scientists are discovering that endometriosis cells may process energy differently from healthy tissue.
This evolving area of research could lead to future therapies that target the disease's metabolism rather than hormones alone.
The future of endometriosis treatment may lie in understanding how the disease survives at a cellular level.
