Urticaria (దద్దుర్లు)

Urticaria is a common condition that is estimated to affect arround 1 in 6 people at some point in their lives.

It can reoccur periodically over a 1 to 5 years time period but a small number of people experience hives for up to 50 years.

The period over which people experience hives is dependent on the type and severity of their urticaria.

In some cases, hives are also accompanied by sudden and often painful, swelling in the deeper layers of the skin, known medically as angioedema.

Angioedama most commonly effects the eyelids and lips but it can also affects the ge****ls, tounge, hands and feet.

You may be surprised to hear that the itch and hives found with Urticaria are often related to your immune system.

దద్దుర్లు వ్యాధి, చర్మ వ్యాధుల్లొ ఒక రకమైన తరుణ వ్యాధి. దీనిలొ అకస్మాత్తుగా తెల్లగా, గులాబిర౦గులొ చిన్న చక్రాల వలె చర్మ౦ పై వస్త్యాయి. ఇవి కొన్ని నిమిషాలు లేదా గ౦టలు లేదా కొన్ని రోజులు వరకు ఉ౦డవచ్చు. ఇవి వస్తూ తగ్గుతు ఉ౦టాయి. దురద మ౦ట ఉ౦టు౦ది, పలు పరిణామాల్లొ ఉ౦టాయి.

ఎక్కువగా అలా పదే పదే వస్తూ పోతున్నప్పుడు వాటిని తీవ్ర౦గా పరిగణి౦చాలి.

వ్యాది కారణాలు : జేర్ణకోశ స౦బ౦ధ వ్యాధులతో వస్తాయి. కొన్ని రకాల అహార పదార్దాలు పడక, ఎలర్జీ కారణ౦గా వస్తాయి. కాలేయ౦ సరిగ్గా పనిచేయనప్పుడు కూడా రావచ్ఛును.

లక్షణాలు : జేర్ణకోశ స౦బ౦ధమైన లక్షణాలతో నీరస౦గా వికార౦గా ఉ౦టు౦ది. వా౦తులు అవవచ్చును. మలబద్దక౦ లేదా విరేచనాలు కావచ్ఛును. చర్మ౦ పై వివిద సైజులలో దద్దుర్లు వస్తాయి. కొన్ని నిమిషాలు ను౦డి కొన్ని గ౦టల వరకు కనబడి మాయమవుతాయి. మళ్ళీ ఇ౦కోచోట వస్తాయి, రుద్దినప్పుడు ఎక్కువ అవుతాయి. చిన్న పిల్లల్లో వచ్చే దద్దుర్లను హైవ్స్ అ౦టారు. సాధారణ౦గా ఈ దద్దుర్లు పూర్తిగా నయమవుతాయి. కాని కొన్నిసార్లు చాలా పసితన౦లోనే కనిపిస్తాయి. తీవ్ర అనారోగ్య౦తో భాదపడుతున్న పిల్లల్లోను ప్రమాదకర౦గా మారవచ్చు.

Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is a disorder marked by excessive sweating. It usually begines at Puberty and affects the palms, soles and armpits.

Secondary hyperhidrosis : The person sweats too much because of an underlying condition such as obesity, gout, menopause, a tumor, mercury poisoning, diabetes milletus, hyper thyroid ism, cancer, carcinoid syndrome, certain medications, substance abuse, heart disease, anxiety, lung disease, Tuberculosis etc.

Sweating doesn't usually pose a serious threat to your health, but it can be embarrassing and disturbing. It can also have a negative impact on your quality of life and many lead to feeling of depression and anxiety.

There are no guidelines to determine what normal sweating is, but if you feel you sweat too much and your sweating has started to interfere with your everyday life, you may have hyperhidrosis for example you may have hyperhidrosis

1. if you avoid contact, such as shacking hands because you feel self conscious about your sweating.

2. You dont take part in activities such as dancing or excercise for fear they will make your sweating worse.

3. Excessive sweating if interfering with your job, for example you have difficulty holding tools or using a computer keyboard.

4. You are spending a significant amount of time coping with sweating by frequently showering and changing your clothes

As a result of Hyperhidrosis you become socially withdrawn and self conscious.

Negative effects of Smoking on Psoriasis.

Psoriasis is common, chronic, immune medicated inflammatory disease in which there is an uncontrolled proliferation of Keratinocytes.

Pathenogenesis may be widely genetic, and as well environmental factors play a role in its development. Smoking, alcohol consumption, obesity, stressful life/events and infections affects many aspects of psoriasis.

Smoking is directly or indirectly associated with a significant number of adverse cutaneous effects. Smoking has repeatedly been identified as potential risk factor for Psoriasis. Ni****ne cholinergic receptors have been identified on keratinocytes and ni****ne is known to accelerate the rate of keratinocyte differentiation. Furthermore ni****ne activates dendrite cells and enhances their ability to stimulate T Cell proliferation and cytokine secretion and thereby activates the adaptive immune system.

To***co consumption and childhood exposure to ETS were found to be significantly associated with Psoriasis in this population based twin study.To***co consumption increases the risk for Psoriasis by more than twice in smokers with a history of more than 5 packs per year.

Genetic factors explain 20% of the correlation between Psoriasis and smoking based on the results.

We discourage smoking as it is associated with an increased risk for Psoriasis.

Darkness of lips is prevalent phenomenon both in men and women, following are the various reasons for this to occur,

Since birth
Acquired : which has the following reasons of smoking, sun exposure, licking lips, dryness, over use of lipstick.
-- Dryness of lips is due to : weather/windy conditions, Smoking, Mouth breathing.

-- Life style and habits : Smoking, Alcohol, Use of Narcotic drugs.

-- Sun exposure : UV rays, Lentigo

-- Anemic : Low hemoglobin
