✨ Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers in women β€” and a simple Pap smear combined with HPV testing is among the most powerful tools available to stop it before it starts.

🩺 Dr. Spurthi Reddy at Vedaya Gynaec & Fertility Hospital in Kukatpally recommends that every woman between the ages of 21 and 65 include cervical screening as a core part of her well-woman preventive care routine.

A Pap smear detects abnormal cell changes in the cervix long before they become cancerous β€” giving you and your doctor the opportunity to act early and effectively.

❀️ Many women across Hyderabad put off screening due to discomfort, lack of awareness, or simply not knowing when to start. Here is what to know:
β€’ The procedure is quick and performed with care
β€’ Results provide deep reassurance or early answers
β€’ Screening every 3–5 years (per your doctor's advice) is all it takes

πŸ’ͺ HPV vaccination, available at Vedaya, adds another powerful layer of protection β€” particularly for younger women and adolescents who have not yet been exposed to the virus.

πŸ“… If you are due for a Pap smear, or have never had one, book your well-woman screening appointment with Dr. Spurthi Reddy today. Prioritising your health is always the right decision.

Confused about IVF, IUI, and ICSI?

Understanding the difference is the first step toward choosing the right fertility treatment.

πŸ”Ή IUI (Intrauterine Insemination): A simpler and less invasive procedure where prepared s***m is placed directly into the uterus.

πŸ”Ή IVF (In Vitro Fertilization): Eggs and s***m are combined in a laboratory, and the resulting embryo is transferred to the uterus.

πŸ”Ή ICSI (Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection): An advanced IVF technique in which a single s***m is injected directly into an egg. It is often recommended for male infertility factors.

Every fertility journey is unique. The best treatment depends on your medical history, age, fertility factors, and treatment goals. Consult an experienced fertility specialist to determine the most suitable option for you.

🩺 Infertility is still widely perceived as a ""women's issue"" β€” but the data tells a very different story. Male factor infertility contributes to approximately half of all infertility cases, making semen analysis an essential part of every couple's fertility work-up at Vedaya Gynaec & Fertility Hospital, Kukatpally.

πŸ’ͺ Dr. Spurthi Reddy recommends that both partners are evaluated from the very first consultation. Identifying a male factor early β€” whether it is low s***m count, reduced motility, or morphology concerns β€” allows the team to tailor treatment precisely and avoid unnecessary procedures for the female partner.

✨ The encouraging news: many causes of male factor infertility are addressable. S***m health is influenced by factors including:
β€’ Heat exposure (laptops, tight clothing)
β€’ Smoking and alcohol
β€’ Nutritional deficiencies
β€’ Chronic stress and poor sleep

Many of these are correctable with the right guidance and support.

❀️ Approaching infertility as a shared journey β€” rather than one person's burden β€” leads to stronger diagnoses, better outcomes, and a more resilient partnership throughout treatment.

πŸ₯ If you and your partner have been trying to conceive in Hyderabad, a joint fertility assessment at Vedaya is the most complete, compassionate place to begin.

Period 7 Days Late? Don’t Panic.

A delayed period does not always mean pregnancy. While pregnancy is possible if you had in*******se during your fertile period, periods can also get delayed due to stress, sleep disturbance, travel, illness, hormonal changes, or changes in routine.

Ovulation usually happens around the middle of a 28-day cycle, but even small lifestyle or health changes can affect ovulation and delay your period.

The easiest way to confirm is to do a **Urine Pregnancy Test at home**, preferably with the first morning urine. If the test is positive, or if your periods are frequently irregular, consult a gynaecologist for proper evaluation and guidance.
