🌈 Celebrating Little Smiles & Big Dreams — Happy Children’s Day! 💖

Every child carries magic in their smile — pure, fearless, and full of hope.
On this Children’s Day, I celebrate their laughter, curiosity, and the joy they bring into our lives. 💕

May we always protect their smiles, nurture their dreams, and give them a world where they can grow healthy and strong. 🌈✨

You’ll be surprised — almost everyone who visits me has one or more of these tooth troubles! 😬

Here’s what I see most often 👇
🍬 Cavities – Those sneaky sugar monsters!
🩸 Bleeding gums – Your toothbrush should never turn red!
😱 Loose / moving teeth – Nope, they’re not supposed to wiggle!
😫 Crowding – When your teeth are literally fighting for space.
🤢 Bad breath – Please don’t ignore it, it’s not “normal.”
☕ Brown or stained teeth (Fluorosis) – Coffee, tea, or water stains can cause this!

💡 And you know what? Most people only visit when the pain becomes unbearable! 😭
Please don’t wait for that moment — a simple dental check-up can prevent major issues later.

🦷 Keep smiling, keep checking, and keep caring for your teeth! 💙

“Why do your teeth hurt with ice cream?”

That shocking jolt you feel when sipping hot tea ☕ or biting ice cream 🍦 isn’t random — it’s your teeth crying for help! 😭

Dr. Anne Naga Neelima Devi, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with 32+ years of expertise, reveals the truth about Tooth Sensitivity 👩‍⚕️🦷

Your tooth has a superhero shield called Enamel 🛡️ — when it gets worn down, it exposes Dentin, which hides tiny nerve endings ⚡ That’s why you feel that zing with cold or hot foods!

🚨 Dr. Neelima’s Pro Tip:
Sensitivity toothpaste isn’t for everyone! Use it only if your dentist prescribes it — or you might harm your soft tissues. 😬

✅ Mild sensitivity → Dentist may suggest a special toothpaste.
⚠️ Severe sensitivity → You may need medicated rinses or even fillings.

💙 Don’t ignore that pain — your teeth are talking to you!
✨ Visit your dentist early and keep your smile strong & bright!

⚠️ Morning Hydration Fact Check: Should You Drink Water Before Brushing? ⚠️
We all know the importance of hydration, but what about the old habit of drinking water the moment you wake up?

As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, I want to clarify this widely practiced routine. During the night, your mouth accumulates bacteria—sometimes for up to 12 hours—which are mostly good, but also include germs.

🦠 The Truth About Morning Water:
If you drink water before brushing, you are washing all the oral flora and any accumulated germs straight into your digestive system.

The Golden Rule for Safe Morning Hydration:

If you brush at night before bed: Go ahead and drink your water first thing in the morning! Your overnight bacteria level is generally manageable.

If you skip your nightly brush: You must brush first upon waking up to remove the plaque and bacteria that multiplied overnight, and then drink your water.

Prioritize your nighttime brushing routine. It's the simplest way to protect your gut health and ensure your morning water intake is truly beneficial.

Do you drink water before brushing? Let me know your routine in the comments! 👇
