Shri Sandeep, Under Secretary (Adm/Est), Department of Pharmaceuticals,MoCF, GoI, graced the occasion and participated in the plantation drive along with Dean, Associate Dean, Registrar and other faculty and staff members of the Institute.

2026 at NIPER Hyderabad
is observing Swachhata Pakhwada-2026 from 1 to 15 September 2026, with active participation from students, faculty and staff, in line with the national theme, ‘Digital Cleanliness and Record Management.' A series of cleanliness, awareness and community outreach activities will be organised during the fortnight. The Pakhwada commenced with the administration of the Swachhata Pledge.
The activities include display of awareness posters, Shramdaan for cleanliness of laboratories and common areas, an awareness rally. Community outreach initiatives will include cleanliness drives and awareness activities at a nearby Public Health Centre and Government School, along with distribution of cleaning and sanitary materials and donation of a water purifier. Students will also participate in essay writing, talks, plays and poster competitions. The Pakhwada will conclude with a felicitation of the sanitation workforce.

Expert Lecture at
NIPER Hyderabad pleased to host Dr. Satish Chitneni, Associate Professor, University of Chicago, USA, for an expert lecture on “Radiopharmaceutical Sciences: Contributions to Diagnosis and Treatment of Diseases” on August 28, 2026.

Prof. N. Shankaraiah, Dean, NIPER Hyderabad, along with faculty members, warmly welcomed the distinguished guest.

The session highlighted the emerging applications of radiopharmaceuticals in disease diagnosis, targeted therapy, and precision medicine. Faculty members and students actively participated in the session.

NIPER Hyderabad signed an MoU with IIT Hyderabad on 21st Aug 2026.
This MoU has been signed by both the Directors viz., Prof. Shailendra Saraf from NIPER Hyderabad and Prof. B.S. Murty from IIT Hyderabad. This MoU will strengthen the strategic collaboration on drug development and enabling technologies between both the institutions.

राष्ट्रीय औषधीय शिक्षा एवं अनुसंधान संस्थान (नाईपर ), हैदराबाद ने 15 अगस्त 2026 को भारत का 80वाँ स्वतंत्रता दिवस मनाया। नाईपर हैदराबाद के अधिष्ठाता , प्रो . एन. शंकरैया ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया और भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए संघर्ष करने वाले स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के बलिदानों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। उन्होंने स्वतंत्रता के बाद औषधि क्षेत्र में भारत की प्रगति और विकास पर प्रकाश डाला तथा संस्थान के कर्मचारियों और छात्रों को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ दीं। इस अवसर पर संस्थान के संकाय सदस्य, छात्र एवं कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहें ।

NIPER Hyderabad celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026. Prof. N. Shankaraiah, Dean, NIPER Hyderabad, hoisted the National Flag and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence. He also highlighted India’s remarkable growth and progress in pharmaceutical sector since independence and extended warm wishes to the employees and students of the Institute. Faculty members, students, and staff members were present on the occasion.

NIPER Hyderabad organised a Student Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of Batch 2026 on August 12, 2026. Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER Hyderabad, graced the occasion and warmly welcomed the students to the Institute. In his keynote address, he encouraged the students to strive for academic excellence, pursue innovative research, and contribute to the pharmaceutical sectors. Further He wished them success in their academic journey and future endeavours.

Dean, NIPER Hyderabad, welcomed the students and gave an overview of the Institute. Registrar, NIPER Hyderabad introduced the non-teaching staff to the students. Chief Warden & Hostel Incharge briefed the students about the hostel facilities. Associate Dean proposed the vote of thanks. Newly joined students, faculty members, and staff members were present at the orientation programme.

NIPER Hyderabad observed 16th Indian Day on August 3, 2026, by administering an organ donation pledge to create awareness about the importance of organ donation.
The English pledge was administered by Dr. Jitendra Madan, Registrar, NIPER Hyderabad, followed by the Hindi pledge, led by Dr. Saurabh Srivastava, Rajbhasha Adhikari, NIPER Hyderabad. The theme for this year’s Indian Organ Donation Day is “Angdaan – Jeevan Sanjeevani Abhiyaan". NIPER Hyderabad Faculty and staff members were present for the pledge.
