The ultimate nightmare scenario... stuck in the throat.
While playing with a Friendship band this wire got lodged in the throat of a 5 year old boy. He continuously complained to his parents about something poking inside his throat the whole night. Next day morning as soon as they came to us , we removed the wire endoscopically immediately and the pain was gone within seconds.

ENT DAY CARE CENTRE
EAR WAX REMOVAL: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
1. How can I clean my ears safely at home?
Your ear canals are naturally self-cleaning. As you chew and talk, old ear wax and dead skin move outward on their own. Never insert cotton buds (Q-tips), hairpin keys, or rolled tissues into the ear canal. These tools push wax deeper into the canal and risk puncturing the eardrum. Simply wipe the outside of your ear with a damp cloth or tissue after showering.
2. How frequently do I need to get my ears cleaned?
Most people never need routine professional cleaning. However, if you wear hearing aids, frequently use in-ear headphones, or produce naturally thick wax, you may benefit from a routine check-up every 6 to 12 months. Professional cleaning should only be done when a doctor confirms a wax blockage is present.
3. Which drops can I use to prevent wax buildup?
To help keep wax soft so it flows out naturally, you can apply 2 to 3 drops of pure olive oil or clinical mineral oil once every 1 to 2 weeks. Avoid using medicated ear drops on a daily basis unless explicitly prescribed by your ENT specialist.
(Note: Do not put drops in your ear if you have a perforated/punctured eardrum or ear tubes).
4. Can I shower, swim, or use my earphones/hearing aids today?
You can wear clean earphones or hearing aids right away—just make sure to wipe the earpieces down first. If your ear wax was removed using warm water irrigation/flushing, try to keep your ear canals dry (avoid swimming or getting shower water in the ears) for the first 24 hours to allow the canal lining to settle and prevent moisture-related infections.
5. Why do my ears sound echoey or feel strange right now?
This is completely normal! After a wax blockage is removed, full sound waves and normal airflow hit your eardrum again for the first time in days or weeks. Your voice may sound unusually loud, hollow, or “echoey,” and the canal may feel slightly cool or sensitive. This feeling usually resolves within 24 to 48 hours as your brain readjusts to normal sound levels.

Who says ENTs only look inside the nose? 😉👃✨
Celebrating National Plastic Surgery Day the best way I know how—with a little rhinoplasty magic.
While I’m an ENT surgeon by trade, rhinoplasty is the ultimate bridge between our two worlds. It’s a complex puzzle: sculpting a gorgeous external shape while ensuring the airway is perfectly clear. Because a beautiful nose is great, but a nose that breathes perfectly is even better.
Structure, airflow, and symmetry—all in a day’s work. What do you think of this transformation? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Let’s talk about dorsal humps. 👃👇
A dorsal hump is made up of both bone and cartilage. To achieve a smooth, natural profile like this, we meticulously reduce and reshape the bridge during a rhinoplasty.
As you can see in the surgical footage, precision is everything. The goal is always a structural change that looks completely natural from the front and the side, while ensuring the patient breathes perfectly.

What does rhinoplasty result look like 5+ years later? 🔍
When evaluating rhinoplasty before and after photos, it’s crucial to look at long-term outcomes. Immediate post-op photos show a beautiful change, but advanced rhinoplasty techniques focus on structural integrity so that your nose surgery results remain stable, functional, and beautiful for life.

This lady had a crooked nose and a deviated nasal septum and suffered from difficulty in breathing since years. The rhinoplasty surgery could successfully achieve both goals - a beautiful looking breathing nose !
The swelling after a rhinoplasty surgery subsides in stages—tip definition is usually the final piece of the puzzle to lock into place. This patient is living proof that patience pays off during rhinoplasty recovery.
