Heritage Walk

Regional Institute of Nursing Patriotically organised Heritage Walk to Mark the Celebration of 80 Years of Indian Independence.

The Visit was planned and conducted for the faculty and students of nursing college. The total number of participants were 94. This glorious Heritage Walk was coordinated by Havaldar Jarnail Singh and Havaldar Bhupendra N. from Military College of Materials Management (MCMM ) Jabalpur on

From 9:30 AM Onwards.

Objectives of Educational Visit to College of Military Material Management (MCMM), Jabalpur

1. Develop students’ understanding of India’s military history and heritage Walk through visits to AOC museum and historical displays.

2. Learn about material and logistics management during ancient and historical wars.

3. Understand how weapons, equipment, food, clothing, medicines, and other essential supplies were managed during different periods of warfare.

4. Understand important historical events and their impact on India’s defence system.

5. Familiarize students with historical artefacts, military equipment, documents, photographs, and museum collections.

6. Promote patriotism, national pride, respect for the armed forces, and responsible citizenship among students on the occasion of *Independence Day.

2. OBJECTIVE OF THE VISIT
The visit was coordinated with the following objectives:
1. To provide exposure to scientific research and public health programs
2. To enhance understanding of ongoing research in tribal and community health
3. To motivate students towards research & innovation
4. To bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application

BRIEF REPORT OF THE VISIT
Regional Institute of Nursing, Jabalpur organized an Educational & Scientific Visit to *ICMR - National Institute for Tribal Health Research, Jabalpur* on 28th July 2026.

The visit started at 9:30 AM. Faculty and students were warmly welcomed by the scientists and staff of ICMR/NITHR.

During the visit, students and faculty got exposure to *advanced research facilities and laboratories*. Scientists explained about the ongoing *tribal health research and public health initiatives* being conducted by ICMR/NITHR in Madhya Pradesh and other tribal areas.

There was an interactive session where students directly *interacted with scientists and research experts*. They learned about research methodology, data collection in field areas, disease surveillance, and how research findings are used for community health programs.

This visit helped students to understand the importance of research in nursing and public health, and motivated them towards scientific temperament.

4. KEY HIGHLIGHTS / LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. *Exposure to Research Labs:* Students visited advanced laboratories and understood modern research equipment.
2. *Tribal Health Focus:* Gained knowledge about health problems of tribal communities and research solutions.
3. *Scientist Interaction:* Direct Q&A with scientists cleared many doubts about research careers.
4. *Skill Enhancement:* The visit enhanced knowledge, practical skills, and scientific attitude among students.
5. *Link with Theory:* Helped to connect classroom learning with real-world public health research.

The Educational & Scientific Visit to ICMR/NITHR was highly beneficial and informative for both faculty and students. It provided valuable insights into research and public health. Such visits are important to develop research interest among nursing students and to prepare them for future healthcare challenges.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the ICMR Director Dr Praveen K. Bharti ,and Dr Ravindra Chabbra scientist D . for hosting us.

A class on healthcare - associated infection was successfully organized for Bsc nursing 1st sem , bsc nursing 2nd sem , gnm nursing 1st sem students to enhance their knowledge of infection prevention and control in health care settings the session was conducted by ICN jyotsana kushwaha on HAI at Baderia Metroprime hospital. The resource person explained hand hygiene, standard precautions, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), sterilization and disinfection, biomedical waste management, and infection control practices.The session also highlighted the importance of nurses in preventing HAIs and ensuring patient safety.
The class was highly interactive, with students actively participating by asking questions and discussing clinical scenarios. made the session informative and easy to understand.The session was conducted by Ms. Priyanka Patel Assistant professor Regional institute of nursing.
