खाली तराजू झूलती है।
हर बार तराज़ू के
खाली पलडे नजर आते हैं
जिनमें न कोई बांट दिखता है
और न कोई वस्तु।
दोनों पलड़ों मे
नेताओं की बातें
और आश्वासन
परस्पर बढ़ चढ़ कर बतियाते नजर आते हैं,
जिन्हें हवाएं कान लगा कर
सुनती हैं ।

जिन्हें वो अगली सुबह के अखबार में
परसने वाली हैं।
शहर जिनका नाश्ते को दो
बेसब्री से इंतजार करता है।
