जब घुटने में लगातार दर्द बना रहे, घुटने के मूवमेंट में दिक्कत हो और पैरों में तिरछापन आने लगे, तो इस स्थिति को आम भाषा में घुटने की गठिया(नी अर्थराइटिस) कहते हैं। रोग की शुरुआती अवस्था में जमीन या फर्श से उठने पर घुटनों में दर्द होता है। सीढि़यां चढ़ने-उतरने में दर्द होता है। जब रोग गंभीर अवस्था में पहुंच जाए, तो चलने-फिरने में दिक्कत होती है। यहां तक कि मरीज सिर्फ बिस्तर तक ही सीमित हो जाता है। पैरों में तिरछापन आ सकता है। घुटनों में सूजन रहना।
इटर्नल हॉस्पिटल में वर्ल्ड आर्थराइटिस डे के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित इंटरैक्टिव सेशन एवं वर्कशॉप कार्यक्रम को सम्बोधित करते हुए डॉक्टरों ने उपस्थित लोगों को आर्थराइटिस के बारे में जानकारी दी| आर्थराइटिस यानी गठिया युवाओं में तेजी से फैल रहा है। इसकी मुख्य वजह भोजन में प्रोटीन की उचित मात्रा, विटमिन-डी, विटमिन-के और कैल्शियम की कमी है। इसके अलावा सबसे अहम है लाइफस्टाइल में सुधार जिसके जरिए आर्थराइटिस समेत सभी तरह के जोड़ों के दर्द से बचा जा सकता है |

हाइपरटेंशन का सबसे ज्यादा असर ब्लड सर्कुलेशन पर पड़ता है और इसकी वजह से घुटनों में ऑक्सिजन और न्यूट्रिशन कम हो जाता है। इससे घुटनों के कार्टिलेज घिसने लगते हैं। इस कारण जोड़ों में दर्द शुरू हो जाता है। इटर्नल हॉस्पिटल के रूमटोलॉजिस्ट डॉ भूपेंद्र वैष्णव कहते हैं कि हमारी लाइफस्टाइल में तेजी से बदलाव आ रहा है। इसका सीधा असर हमारे स्वास्थ्य पर पड़ रहा है। ऐसे में जरूरी है कि हम अपनी लाइफस्टाइल को बेहतर करें और रोगों से दूर रहें।

इटर्नल हॉस्पिटल के जोड़ प्रत्यारोपण विशेषज्ञ डॉ राजीव भार्गव ने बताया की शरीर का वजन जितना ज्यादा होगा घुटनों पर उतना ही जोर पड़ेगा। ऐसे में हमें अपने शरीर का वजन नियंत्रण में रखना चाहिए। हमें अपनी लंबाई के हिसाब से अपने शरीर का वजन रखना चाहिए। ऐसा न करने पर हमारे मीडियल कम्पार्टमेंट (घुटनों के जोड़) पर असर पड़ता है। ऐसे में 60 से 70 प्रतिशत लोगों की हड्डियां तिरछी हो जाती हैं। इसके साथ ही घुटनों के कार्टिलेज भी खराब हो जाते हैं। महिलाओं में ऑस्टियोपोरोसिस होने का खतरा बढ़ जाता है।

सुबह मॉर्निंग वॉक जरूर करें। हड्डियों के लिए विटमिन डी बेहद अहम है लिहाजा दिन में बाहर निकलकर थोड़ी धूप जरूर लें। रोजाना थोड़ा व्यायाम करें।
लाइफस्टाइल में सबसे अहम बदलाव के तौर पर सुबह का नाश्ता सबसे अच्छा और हेवी करना चाहिए ताकि दिनभर एनर्जी बनी रहे और रात का खाना हल्का होना चाहिए। इसके अलावा पौष्टिक भोजन खाएं ताकि शरीर को कैल्शियम और प्रोटीन की उचित मात्रा मिले। जितना संभव हो जंक फूड से दूर ही रहें।

डॉ पुनीत शर्मा फ़िज़ियोथेरेपिस्ट ने बताया कि हर किस्म की गठिया (अर्थराइटिस) की शुरुआती अवस्था में सबसे पहला इलाज व्यायाम व फिजियोथेरेपी है। कुछ दवाओं को भी रोग की प्रारंभिक अवस्था में दिया जाता है। अगर इसके बाद भी पीड़ित व्यक्ति को राहत नहीं मिलती, तो इस स्थिति में पूर्ण घुटना प्रत्यारोपण के अलावा अन्य कोई विकल्प शेष नहीं रहता।

On Sunday 29th January, 2017, Eternal Hospital in association with Lion's Club, Jaipur Hawa Mahal organised a Multy Speciality Mega Camp at Shri Govind Devji Temple premises for the pilgrims & visitor's across India & abroad. The Camp was a great success as we have registered more than 2000 patients during the camp which started early morning at 7:30 AM & everybody took part very enthusiastically. Camp was inaugurated by Dr. J. S. Makkar & Dr. Sailesh Lodha along with Maharaj Anjan Kumar Goswami Ji. Lion's Club appreciated the efforts of our Team. RTM was attended by 17 prominent Physicians of CDRS, Agra. An informal Dialogue between CDRS Physicians with CEO Sunil Kapoor and Director Cardiology Dr. J. S. Makkar end up into an interactive & enjoyable session.

Latest @ Eternal: Within 2months of getting the license for Heart Transplant, we have successfully done the first heart transplant surgery to 35 year old patient. The team of cardiac doctors led by Dr Ajeet Bana performed this surgery in just 80 minutes after harvesting the heart from the donor.

After this milestone surgery Eternal Hospital Jaipur is the only hospital in Rajasthan to have every solutions to the cardiac problems. Before the heart transplant we were pioneer in procedures like TAVI/TAVR, Pacemaker implantation, Combo Devices, Rotablation and other complex Interventional Cardiac procedures.

----Eternal Hospital is new Heart Transplant Center in Rajasthan-----
Eternal Hospital performed its first heart transplant on 6th Nov 2016. This great task could happen only after the family members of 22-year-old resident of Bharatpur gave their consent to donate his organs after he was declared brain dead at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. The donated heart gave a new lease of life to a 35-year-old man again a resident of Bharatpur , who was suffering from heart failure for the past 6 months.

Heart failure is a condition in which the functioning of heart goes down to an extent that the patient is unable to perform his day to day activities normally. For such patients only remedy is heart transplant. After consultation with the doctors here in Eternal and at Delhi Hospital the patient was mentally prepared for heart transplant.

Honáble Health Minister Rajendra Singhji Rathore meet the patient who underwent heart transplant to find out the condition. Addressing the press conference Rajendra Singhji said the role of media is very important in current scenario to highlight the awareness of organ transplant so that the more and more volunteers can come forward for the organ donation. He also reiterated the support of the government to all the health care centres for such noble cause. It has been the dedicated effort of Doctors team under Dr Ajeet Bana who performed the heart transplant in such a short span of time as Eternal Hospital got the license for heart transplant 2 months back on 6th September 2016.

Speaking to the press Dr Ajeet Bana, Chairman Cardiac Sciences Eternal Hospital Jaipur detailed out the whole process of heart transplant which started early morning of Sunday 6th Nov 2016 and ended at 4:30 AM of 7th November 2016 to make the transplant successful. The process of heart transplant from the donor confirmation to successful transplant started. After getting the confirmation from RNOS for Eternal Hospital to go ahead for heart transplant, Harvest team including Dr Vimal
Kant, Dr Lalitaditya Malik, Dr Abhinav Gupta and Dr Rakesh Bhargava from Eternal Hospital assessed the patient and the got the desired confirmation from the Donor family. It was late in the evening at around 9:45 PM the heart of the donor was taken to Eternal hospital within 8-9 minutes through green corridor created and well managed by Jaipur Traffic Police. Special thanks to DCP Haider Ali Zaidi, DSP Gurusharan Rao and Udaiveer Singh.

Cardiac Team headed by Dr Ajeet Bana – Chairman Cardiac Sciences, Dr Vinita Sharma, Dr Navneet Mehta – Director and HOD Cardiac Anaesthesia and Dr Navneet Garg performed the operation which lasted till wee hours of the morning 7th November 2016.
