💕 “Can s*x hurt the baby during pregnancy?”
This is one of the most common questions I hear in my OPD.
In most healthy pregnancies, s*x is completely safe. ❤️
👉 First Trimester: It is generally safe if there is no bleeding, severe pain, or risk of miscarriage.
👉 Second Trimester: Usually the most comfortable and safest time for intimacy.
👉 Third Trimester: S*x is often safe until your waters break or labor begins, provided your pregnancy is low-risk.
🚨Avoid s*xual in*******se and consult your obstetrician if you have:
• Placenta previa
• Leaking of amniotic fluid (water break)
• Unexplained vaginal bleeding
• Preterm labor or a history of preterm birth
• Cervical insufficiency or a cervical stitch (unless your doctor advises otherwise)
💡 Remember: Your baby is well protected inside the uterus by the amniotic fluid and the cervix. In a healthy pregnancy, s*x does not harm your baby.
Every pregnancy is different, so if you have any doubts, always discuss them with your gynecologist instead of relying on myths.
❤️ Save this reel for future reference and share it with an expecting couple who might need this information.
