When is extraction needed?

Severe decay or infection that can't be saved, impacted wisdom teeth, advanced gum disease, or crowding for orthodontic reasons.

What actually happens:

Local anaesthesia is applied so you feel pressure, not pain.

The dentist gently loosens the tooth, and most simple extractions take under 15 minutes. It's a lot more straightforward than people expect.

Aftercare: No smoking for 48-72 hrs, avoid straws for 24-48 hrs, stick to soft foods for a few days, and use an ice pack to reduce swelling. Simple steps go a long way
