While it may seem counterintuitive, washing your hair too much may actually make it greasier. When you over wash, you are at risk of drying out your scalp, which can cause your skin to produce more oil.

Also, over washing might result in dry scalp, itching & dandruff. This is because a chemical based shampoo strips off the natural oils produced by scalp (sebum) and makes it dry and dandruff prone.
