Here’s what nobody tells you to ask before you sign that admission form 👇
✅ Is there a doctor or nurse trained in NRP — Neonatal Resuscitation Program — present at every delivery, every shift?
✅ Is there a NICU or special newborn care unit in the facility or within quick reach?
✅ What is their protocol if your baby needs emergency support at birth?
✅ Can they handle a C-section within minutes if needed?
✅ Is there a blood bank, oxygen support, ventilator on site?
Nearly 40% of newborn deaths and half of maternal deaths happen on the very day a child is born. Not weeks later. Not days later. That day.
