All precautions in place at work. Double masking may be difficult for some, but it’s negligible effort you need to put for the health of your loved ones and your patients. Stay at home if you have the privilege. Eat healthy, do light exercises at home and sleep well. Get vaccination as soon as you get a chance. We need to fight it together. Remember, in a pandemic no one is safe until everyone is safe.

Mindful eating is being “in the moment” while eating. Slow down, remove distractions and pay attention to the food and enjoy each bite. It helps us make healthy choices, helps in digestion, weight management and uplifts mood.

This Diwali, let’s embrace kindness, empathy, confidence in our hard work and efforts and shine our brightest.
PS: This photo has been taken in the ‘sun city’ Jodhpur which is one of the most picturesque desserts I have been to.

One investment which will always give returns is investement in yousrself. And self care, like everything else in life, is all about balance. So there are 5 important domains, a balance of which in our routine helps us grow.
1. Social : While we need to find new ways to connect to people, it is also important to take some "me-time".
2. Emotional : In our daily routine we should include activities which make us "Laugh out Loud" and keep a separate designated "Worry Time" for 15-20 minutes where on can do 'problem solving' for concerns if any
3. Physical : Maintain balance of activities which require you to be physically active with some which help to relax your body. 4. Mental : Challenge your brain by doing something new and stimulating. Sometimes, just let your mind relax, can meditate or lie around doing nothing for 5-10 minutes. 5. Spiritual : Do activities beyond self, may include spending time in nature, doing religious activities. Also, don’t forget to pamper yourself.

We all love watching movies. It helps us looking at life through a different perspective. They make us laugh, cry and inspire us.

Mental health and issues related to it have often been ignored and have been associated with stigma but over the past few years there have been quite a few movies on mental health which have helped us understand the issues better.

Here are a list of few of my favourite movies. I am sure there are many more but these are some I have had the pleasure of watching.

Dementia is a syndrome in which there is progressive deterioration in memory, thinking, behaviour and ability to carry out normal daily activities. Though it mainly affects older people, it is NOT a normal part of ageing. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. Did you know 30% women worldwide experience migraine once in their lifetime. Though specific foods, bright light and loud noise are known to aggravate migraine, the triggers may vary from person to person. So it is useful to maintain a headache diary to identify the triggers. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, having meals on time and regular exercise helps prevent migraine.
