On 31 July 2026, the 2nd District Task Force Committee Meeting was held under the chairmanship of the District Commissioner, Jorhat, in the presence of the Additional District Commissioner (Health), Jorhat.
with the active participation of all line departments.

The meeting focused on reviewing and discussing coordinated action plans and preparedness measures for the prevention and control of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES), Japanese Encephalitis (JE), and other vector-borne diseases. Special emphasis was also laid on strengthening interdepartmental coordination and implementing post-flood preparedness and response measures to mitigate the risk of disease outbreaks, ensure timely surveillance, and safeguard public health across the district.
