Sometimes, the greatest satisfaction in surgery comes from the little things that make a big difference in a patient’s life. ❤️

Last week, a young lady came to my chamber with an enormous fibroid extending almost up to the xiphisternum, leaving almost no space for port placement. An open surgery was the safest option. 😷

Being young and full of life, I wanted to avoid a vertical incision that could leave a prominent scar and affect her confidence in the years to come, whether wearing a saree, lehenga, or any outfit she loves. So, despite the challenge, I planned for a bikini-line incision. 😑

By God’s grace, 🙏 today I was able to remove the entire fibroid intact through that bikini-line incision. 🙏😇😇

Feeling incredibly happy and grateful ☺️🥰😊 not just for a successful surgery, but for being able to save her from a long, visible scar. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. ❤️👩🏻‍⚕️

Five years ago, when she conceived, it felt nothing less than a miracle🛐💖

The journey was filled with challenges and anxiety as it was a complicated high-risk pregnancy😑😑

Then came one of the most frightening moments,, when the baby stopped moving inside the womb. 😰😰
We rushed for delivery, and thankfully, our little prince arrived safely. 👶🏻💞💞💞🙏

Today, that same little champ has grown up so much. 👦🏻
As he sat on my lap, proudly telling me that he rides a bicycle now 🚵🏻‍♂️ 🚲
I couldn’t help but smile☺️☺️☺️
🥰Moments like these remind me why being an obstetrician is such a blessing 😇😇🙏🙏
