Sometimes, the greatest satisfaction in surgery comes from the little things that make a big difference in a patientβs life. β€οΈ
Last week, a young lady came to my chamber with an enormous fibroid extending almost up to the xiphisternum, leaving almost no space for port placement. An open surgery was the safest option. π·
Being young and full of life, I wanted to avoid a vertical incision that could leave a prominent scar and affect her confidence in the years to come, whether wearing a saree, lehenga, or any outfit she loves. So, despite the challenge, I planned for a bikini-line incision. π
By Godβs grace, π today I was able to remove the entire fibroid intact through that bikini-line incision. πππ
Feeling incredibly happy and grateful βΊοΈπ₯°π not just for a successful surgery, but for being able to save her from a long, visible scar. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. β€οΈπ©π»ββοΈ
