2022, 7th of July, we got this ever smiling 89 year old elderly female Home from the Hospital. She had suffered from a complex stroke causing quadriplegia along with LRTI and UTI. Her treating physician said, "there's minimal chance of recovery and she'd barely make it for a week or two."
"If that is the case, we might as well take her home", said her sons. And it made sense, too.
Today is a year to that day, and the ever smiling dadi is off oxygen, can lift both her hands and cracks joke.
There's no reason for us to claim that we cured her, for our job is to provide compassionate care. The magic pill is THE HOME. They say home is where the heart is, home is also where miracles happen.
P.S. She wants to go visit Palitana. That may soon be a possibility too.
