Guru Purnima 🌺

Where Gratitude Meets wisdom 🌼

In every successful life, there is a guiding force that silently shapes our journey—a Guru.

Guru Purnima is not merely a festival; it is a sacred reminder to pause, reflect, and express heartfelt gratitude to those who have illuminated our path with knowledge, compassion, and wisdom.

The word "Guru" means the one who removes darkness and leads us towards light. A true Guru does not simply teach lessons from books; they awaken confidence, inspire discipline, and help us discover the best version of ourselves. Their teachings become the foundation upon which dreams are built and lives are transformed.

The ancient Sanskrit verse,
"गुरु ब्रह्मा गुरु विष्णु गुरु देवो महेश्वरः।
गुरुः साक्षात् परब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः॥"

beautifully reminds us that the Guru is the embodiment of creation, protection, transformation, and divine wisdom.

As a Dietician and Nutritionist, I have learned that true health is achieved not only through balanced nutrition but also through the guidance of great teachers who inspire discipline, mindfulness, and a positive way of living. The timeless philosophy "Food is Medicine" reflects this wisdom—when we nourish our body with nature's gifts and our mind with our Guru's teachings, we create a life filled with health, harmony, and happiness.

On this auspicious occasion, let us bow our heads in gratitude to every Guru—our parents, teachers, mentors, spiritual guides, and every soul who has encouraged us to rise above fear, ignorance, and limitations. Their blessings become the light that guides us through every stage of life.

May this Guru Purnima inspire us to remain humble in learning, sincere in serving, and grateful for every lesson that shapes our journey.

"A Guru does not just teach us how to live; a Guru inspires us to live with purpose, compassion, and wisdom."
Happy Guru Purnima! 🌼🙏

KHEKSI (Spiny Gourd): Nature's Hidden Nutritional Treasure

Rediscovering an Ancient Superfood for Modern Wellness.

In the world of exotic superfoods, we often overlook the nutritional gems growing in our own backyards. Kheksi (Spiny Gourd, Momordica dioica) is one such remarkable seasonal vegetable that has been treasured in traditional Indian cuisine and Ayurveda for centuries. With its impressive nutritional profile and therapeutic potential, Kheksi deserves recognition as a true natural superfood.

Rich in dietary fibre, vitamin C, beta-carotene, iron, calcium, and powerful antioxidants, this unique vegetable supports overall health while helping the body adapt to the demands of modern lifestyles.

Health Benefits of Kheksi

Supports Healthy Blood Sugar
Its low glycaemic index and high fibre content help maintain healthy blood glucose levels when consumed as part of a balanced diet.

Excellent for Weight Management

Naturally low in calories and rich in fibre, Kheksi promotes satiety, reduces unnecessary snacking, and supports healthy weight management.

Promotes Digestive Wellness

The dietary fibre enhances gut health, improves digestion, and encourages regular bowel movements.

Strengthens Natural Immunity

A rich source of vitamin C and plant antioxidants, Kheksi helps strengthen the immune system and protects cells from oxidative stress.

Supports Heart Health

Its fibre and phytonutrients contribute to maintaining healthy cholesterol levels and overall cardiovascular function.

Skin & Cellular Health

The antioxidants and carotenoids present in Kheksi help combat free radicals, supporting healthy skin and graceful ageing.

A Seasonal Gift from Nature

Traditional wisdom teaches us that seasonal foods provide exactly what our bodies need during a particular time of the year. Including locally grown vegetables like Kheksi in your daily meals is a sustainable and effective way to improve overall health naturally.

Best Ways to Enjoy Kheksi

• Lightly sautéed with traditional spices
• Steamed with minimal oil
• Added to lentil preparations
• Served alongside millet rotis for a wholesome Ayurvedic meal

"True wellness begins with seasonal, local, and natural foods. Kheksi is a beautiful reminder that nature has already provided the perfect nourishment for every season."

THE ANCIENT SIP OF WELLNESS 🌿🌺🍃🌼☕️

Dietician Sheela’s Ancient Vedic Tea — Where Traditional Wisdom Meets Modern Nutrition
In a world where wellness is becoming increasingly complicated, sometimes the most meaningful solutions are inspired by the simplicity of nature. Dietician Sheela’s Ancient Vedic Tea is a thoughtfully crafted herbal infusion inspired by India’s traditional approach to food, herbs and holistic well-being.

Created under the concept of “Food is Medicine,” this caffeine-free botanical tea brings together carefully selected flowers and herbs in a beautiful blend designed to make everyday wellness a soothing ritual.

A CUP INSPIRED BY NATURE

Every warm cup is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with natural nourishment. The colourful combination of flowers and herbs offers a refreshing alternative to conventional caffeinated beverages and can be enjoyed as part of a balanced lifestyle.

Rather than viewing tea as simply a beverage, Dietician Sheela Chauhan envisions it as a daily wellness experience—one that combines traditional food wisdom with the principles of modern nutrition.

WELLNESS FROM WITHIN

A wholesome herbal tea ritual may complement healthy hydration, digestion and an overall sense of well-being. Combined with nutritious food, adequate sleep, physical activity and mindful living, it can become a simple yet enjoyable addition to a healthier routine.

The philosophy behind the blend focuses on supporting the body through natural ingredients rather than unnecessary complexity—making wellness both beautiful and accessible.

THE BEAUTY OF AN ANCIENT RITUAL

Presented in an elegant glass jar filled with vibrant botanicals, Ancient Vedic Tea celebrates the colours, aromas and heritage of nature. Simply steep the recommended quantity in hot water, allow the herbs and flowers to infuse, strain and enjoy warm.

Each cup carries a simple message:

“True wellness begins with what we choose to nourish our body with every day.”

☔️ Monsoon Health Tips: Stay Healthy, Stay Happy
This Rainy Season ☔️

By Chief Dietician Sheela Chauhan 💜

The arrival of the monsoon brings cool breezes, lush greenery, and much-needed relief from the summer heat. While the rainy season is refreshing and beautiful, it also increases the risk of infections, foodborne illnesses, and weakened immunity. With a few healthy habits and the right food choices, you can enjoy the season while keeping yourself and your family safe.

Eat Fresh and Light.......

Choose freshly prepared, home-cooked meals that are easy to digest. Include seasonal vegetables, whole grains, soups, and fresh fruits rich in vitamin C to strengthen your immune system. Avoid stale, uncovered, or roadside food, as it may be contaminated during the rainy season.

Stay Hydrated..........

Even if you don't feel thirsty, drink enough clean and safe water throughout the day. Warm water, herbal tea, lemon water, or light soups help maintain hydration and support digestion.

Boost Your Immunity......

Add natural immunity boosters such as turmeric, ginger, garlic, tulsi, black pepper, and citrus fruits to your daily diet. These foods provide antioxidants and help the body fight seasonal infections.

Maintain Good Hygiene........

Wash your hands frequently, keep your surroundings clean, and ensure that fruits and vegetables are washed thoroughly before consumption. Good hygiene is the first step in preventing infections.

Keep Yourself Dry.....

Always carry an umbrella or raincoat while stepping outside. Wet clothes and shoes can increase the risk of fungal infections and common colds. Change into dry clothes as soon as possible after getting wet.

Get Adequate Rest......

A healthy immune system also depends on quality sleep. Aim for 7–8 hours of restful sleep every night to help your body recover and stay energetic.

"Monsoon is a season to enjoy nature, but true happiness comes from protecting your health. Small healthy habits today build a stronger tomorrow."

Stay Healthy • Stay Happy • Enjoy the Monsoon Safely
