कमर दर्द आमतौर पर मासपेशियौं या तंतुओं मे खिंचाव के कारण हो जाता है।यह आराम करने पर या सिकाई करने से ठीक हो जाता है। कभी कभी गलत तरीके से बैठने,अधिक वजन उठाने से या अचानक झटका लगने से डिस्क खिसकने से नसों पर दबाव हो जाता है। इस प्रकार का दर्द भी कुछ सावधानियां रखने से ठीक हो जाता है। अगर 2-3 सप्ताह से अधिक दर्द हो तो "दर्द निवारण विशेषज्ञ" से सलाह लें । सिर्फ 5-10 % मरीजों को सर्जरी की जरूरत होती है। अपनी दिनचर्या ठीक रछें, सावधानियां बरतें एवं व्यायाम करें।
रीढ की हड्डी का ख्याल रखें व स्वस्थ रहें।
