He had an illustrious career in undergraduate from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College Kolkata. Then he joined All India institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi as a senior resident in the department of surgical disciplines and in the trauma centre ( JPNATC,AIIMS). From AIIMS New Delhi he received training in advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Trauma Management, Transplant Surgery. During his tenure in AIIMS, he was actively involved in clinical research and teaching. He had publications in different journals and presented papers in various National and international conferences. He also earned the prestigious membership of the royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh ( MRCS). He is also the member of the international college of laparoscopic surgeons ( MCLS). He received fellowship from the college of AMASI ( FMAS) and IAGES ( FIAGES). He also earned the diploma in minimal access surgery (DipMAS) in Bariatric Surgery.
