🔹 What Is Urethral Stricture?

A urethral stricture is a condition in which the urethra—the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body—becomes narrowed. This narrowing is often caused by scar tissue, which can restrict the normal flow of urine.

⚠️ Common symptoms may include:
🔸 Weak or reduced urine flow
🔸 Difficulty starting urination
🔸 Straining while urinating
🔸 Pain or discomfort during urination
🔸 Frequent or urgent urination
🔸 Incomplete emptying of the bladder
🔸 Recurrent urinary tract infections

👨‍⚕️ If you experience persistent urinary difficulties, consult a urologist for proper evaluation and timely treatment.

💧 AMS 800 Artificial Urinary Sphincter: A Solution for Male Urinary Incontinence

🚹 Urinary leakage after prostate surgery can significantly affect confidence and daily life. For selected men with moderate to severe stress urinary incontinence caused by reduced sphincter function, the AMS 800 Artificial Urinary Sphincter may be an important treatment option.

🔹 The system uses an occlusive cuff, control pump and pressure-regulating balloon to mimic the function of a natural urinary sphincter.

🔹 The patient can control the device through the pump, allowing the urethra to open for urination and then close to help prevent involuntary urine leakage.

🔹 It is particularly used for male stress urinary incontinence following prostate surgery, after appropriate evaluation by a trained urologist.

💙 Persistent urine leakage is not something you always have to live with. Talk to a urologist to understand whether an artificial urinary sphincter could be suitable for you.

🩸 Blood in urine, medically known as hematuria, should never be ignored, as it can sometimes indicate an underlying urinary tract or kidney problem. 🩺

⚠️ Causes may include urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate conditions, or, in some cases, bladder or kidney cancer. 🔎

💙 If you notice blood in your urine—even without pain—seek timely medical evaluation for proper diagnosis and treatment. Early detection can make a significant difference in cancer care and overall health. 🫶

🩺 KIDNEY STONES: KNOW THE SYMPTOMS BEFORE THEY GET WORSE

Kidney stones are a common urinary problem that can cause severe pain, discomfort and difficulty while urinating. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment can help prevent complications and protect your kidney health.

⚠️ Common symptoms of kidney stones include: • Severe pain in the lower back, side or abdomen
• Pain or burning sensation while urinating
• Blood in the urine
• Frequent or urgent urination
• Nausea or vomiting
• Fever or chills, especially if an infection is present

💡 Don’t ignore persistent urinary symptoms or severe pain. A urologist can evaluate the size and location of the kidney stone and recommend the appropriate treatment.

Take care of your kidneys. Early evaluation matters.
