Sundays....And the sordid saga of stupid specimens stuck in strange spaces!
Coins, meat bones and artificial dentures stuck in food pipes are regular events. This time, it was a denture 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁 (the patient wearing the broken thing just out of habit) ! Well, she swallowed it on a Sunday and it needed to be extracted from her oesophagus in Emergency OT under General Anaesthesia!
