A 50-year-old homemaker presented with recurrent right upper abdominal pain due to a large hydatid cyst in segment VI of the liver, previously treated but unresolved because of its challenging location. Under the care of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗺 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘂 , detailed investigations confirmed recurrence, followed by a carefully planned high-risk open surgery.

The cyst was meticulously evacuated using advanced techniques to minimise complications. The procedure was completed successfully, with an uneventful recovery and discharge on post-operative day 3.
